Ron Paul's money plan is far from golden (Frum attacks Ron Paul)
CNN ^ | 2010-02-22 | David Frum

Washington (CNN) -- The annual Conservative Political Action Conference drew 10,000 activists to Washington over the weekend. The event traditionally concludes with a presidential straw poll. Last year, the poll was won by Mitt Romney. This year, Ron Paul won, with 31 percent of the ballots cast.

CPAC's organizers cautioned against over-interpreting the Paul win. Participation in the poll had been light, the Paul team had just out-organized, etc. All true enough.

But it's also true that Ron Paul-style themes have percolated through the conservative movement since Paul's beat-the-spread 2008 presidential campaign. Of all those themes, the one that has achieved the widest audience is Paul's call for a return to money based on precious metals such as gold and silver.

David Frum = the voice of the 21st century GOP.

(sounds like RINO’s bleating)

The Problem is our Central Bank. "The Fed"

A central bank is a banking institution granted the exclusive privilege to lend a government its currency.

We have to pay interest to the fed - on our own money.

It will be interesting to see who is disliked more at freerepublic.com, David Frum, or Ron Paul.

Unlike most of the people suffering from Ron Paul Derangement Syndrome , this guy does offer reasoned criticism of Paul’s views, even if his assumptions are flawed.

Better than most of the stuff that the drooling anti-Paulinistas on this site come up with.

Yeah, Frum must be back on his meds. He's almost civil for a change, considering how viciously he attacked the "paleos" just a few years ago.

Under it all, though, Frum is a statist through and through. Anyone who believes otherwise should check his own political compass, as it may be stuck on the path to more government.

Frum is a NeoCon.

You know how it is between Paul and the NeoCons.

Just last week complained that the NeoCons were taking over the Tea Party and the NeoCons responded by calling Paul a Jooooooooo hater.

Most people do not know this. Their eyes glaze over when I've tried to explain ... or, they get a headache.

There he goes again-----Frum's full-time occupation is being an ****ole.

BTW, there's a reward out for anyone who can determine what Frum and the rest of the pukeneos actually do to make a buck-----with a bonus if you can find out who signs their paychecks.

No one has yet figured out if the pukeneoes have any visible means of support...... other than infiltrating the US government, putting out agit-prop, incessantly pontificating on foreign policy issues, squatting in the Repub Party, and kicking us so/cons to the curb .

Oh wait---I just remembered (snicker)...... Punkneo Perle IS going into the oil business in Iraq. Nice that US tax dollars and the blood of young Americans made the region safe for Perle's business ambitions, wasn't it?

Another possibility: the pukeneos get paid handsomely to squat in the Repub Party, working like termites to destroy it from within.......with bonuses for kicking so/cons to the curb, and religiously cleansing the party.

That could only mean that he is really afraid that Ron Paul's attempt to end the Fed might actually work.
