Someone mentioned the other day they wanted a FEMA trailer. Here is your chance...
I think that was someone from Daily Kos that wanted a new home. They spoke about upgrading to a double wide
The Huckster and Slick open trailer park...film at 11
You are bad!
Is this for real? Who is getting these trailers? Where are they going to be allowed to park, etc.

Horizon Transport, Inc. was founded by Melvin and Ruthann Schrock in 1984. Today, Horizon remains family owned and operated. Their son, Marion Schrock has been in charge of the day-to-day operations since the mid 1990’s. Our business philosophy became our slogan, “Integrity, Dedication & Excellence”
In the early 1980’s Mr. Schrock was a delivery driver for Coachmen Industries, delivering new RV’s to their dealerships. It was during this time that he recognized the need for a transportation company that provided prompt service with professional, clean, qualified and courteous drivers. It was out of this vision that Horizon Transport was birthed.
Horizon started out delivering new RV’s for the recreational industry, both motorized and towable units. In 1989, we opened a flatbed division delivering general freight, small vehicles and mobile homes. Later, we closed this division and turned our focus back to what we do best, driveaway and towaway.

Birthed??
A whole dollar a mile? Wow, what a deal, only costs 30 cents for diesel and then they want commercial insurance (of course, if you pull for hire with your personal insurance and have a problem you are SCREWED!).
Yea buddy, I really want some of this.
In case you didn’t get the drift ...this is sarcasm.
Surely they jest?
Too bad some need to do this for some income in all this stimulus spawned prosperity.
I thought these trailers had been condemned.
$1 a loaded mile. So you get paid a buck a mile going, and the return trip is on you. Fifty cents a mile wont pay for fuel and wear and tear on your vehicle. Motel and meals is on the driver also....sounds like a hell of a deal for FEMA. One dollar a mile and they furnish the towing vehicle and fuel still wouldnt be but standard over the road pay.
I thought they were going to send these trailers to Haiti?
From the GSA Auction site:
“ALL UNITS ARE WORN/USEDSOME HAVE MISSING PARTS AND COMPONENTS, EXTERNAL-SOME UNITS MAY HAVE SMALL HOLES AND/OR DENTS,SOME UNITS ARE MISSING WINDOWS AND/OR ROOF VENTS.OTHER PARTS MAY BE BROKEN OR MISSING FROM WHATIS LISTED IN THE DESCRIPTION. REPAIRS AREREQUIRED.
Hey there is a mobile home dealer in my town selling these FEMA trailes for 3 - 3.5K come on down and getcha one!
With the price of fuel, crumbling economy, and our declining standard of living, I'm sure working class America is excited about purchasing a travel trailer, to pull with their SUV while on vacation....lol
Or are these to live in for the millions that have lost their jobs and homes?
Oh, yeah, you have to put down a thousand buck damage deposit also. There will be a lot of desperate guys run and try to get in on this and then end up getting totally shafted. Then these guys will say, well, its your fault, you didnt read the FINE PRINT.
No it's not for real...It's just more BS from the government trying to make more money off the sucker tax payers...
I guess it didn't dawn on the corrupt government, that people can't even sell their used RVs, because of the price of fuel, million out of work, more concerned with finding a job then vacationing in some stupid RV..Gezzz
I guess it didn't dawn on the corrupt government some of the biggest RV dealers in the U.S. have gone out of business in the past few years, because people can't afford gas, vacations or RVs.
lol....My thoughts..
Too bad corrupt running FEMA won't hire the drivers as government employees....Then they'd get new government owned trucks to transport the trailers, $20.00 per hour, plus .55 cents per mile, complete health coverage and those lottery style government retirement benefits.
The towing outfit that is contracting this out has a contract with FEMA to deliver these trailers based on probably $1.50 a mile. So they set back fat and happy and collect fifty cents a mile for watching them go out the gate.
