“Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Pain is turning down an invitation to speak at one high-profile conservative gathering while accepting another.
Palin is declining an invitation to address the Conservative Political Action Conference next month because, a source said, she does not want to be affiliated with the longtime organizer of the traditional movement confab.”
“While Palin was turning down CPAC, she accepted an invitation to the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans this April.”

..this straw poll and CPAC are complete garbage
Sarah Palin, with about 20 minutes notice, could pack out a stadium of 50,000--the others couldn't draw flies...

Dump the queer Lobby and maybe there’s hope for CPAC after all. Of course I could live without the Julie McRomney wing as well.

Has CPAC Gone Mad? Don't think so. Ron Paul was booed when it was announced he won and a poster above said only 24% of attendees voted.

FWIW the guy who runs Western CPAC was a big supporter of Arlen Specter.

The brats vote.
IIRC, Sarah got 7% last year too and she didn’t attend then either.
CPAC has reduced itself to joke status and worse.

This is great news. Romney probably dropped a bundle to fix this, he attended and who beats him? Paul!! Just goes to show that Palin has tremendous political instincts. You didn’t see her, Rush or Mark Levin and this thing. Really bright conservatives stayed away. Good move.
Mitt winds up with egg all over himself. I love it!

Wonderful! Now the fruit loops will be draping their goofy Ron Paul “revolution” banners all over the junipers up here in northern Arizona again. oy.

William F. Buckley is rolling over in his grave. They should rename this convention to the Conservative Political Action Retreat. Then rearrange the letters to make the acronym more accurate.
