Yesterday, for the fifth day in a row, the UK broadcast of Glenn Becks TV show was forced to run without any advertisements. This is thanks to efforts by StopBeck.com to pressure companies advertising on Becks UK broadcast.
While Becks UK broadcast has been forced to run without ads, his US broadcast has been reduced to running promos for other shows on Fox, ads from direct marketers (think exercise equipment and gold coins) and a handful of private companies headed by right-wingers.

I support Glenn. He is doing a *great* service IMO.
But your observation seems right on. That's a good way to describe something I've seen in him, too. He's scared. And he knows more behind the scenes than we do.
I don't think the country is in any more danger than we here at FR think it is (and that's bad enough) but Glenn went prime time very fast and very big. The other negative, big-time forces are starting to fight back and I speculate that he might not have expected just how seriously life-and-death those forces are. I learned this lesson in the early 90s and I sincerely doubt it was different in Caeser's time or right now.
National and International politics is for the Big Boys. Glenn will do well but he may not have very much fun adjusting to The Big Game.
Yep.
I listen to keep focused on what likely will happen, and get prepared. Beck is a show for adults that can handle the heavy subject matter.
If I want fluffy clouds and unicorns, I would listen to Hannity. Heck even Limbaugh doesn’t give me the heft that Glenn does.
I keep him in prayer- he worries me.
He worries me too, SE Mom. As I said, there's something so over the top about the way he's been talking lately, that "unstable" seems a good word for it.
It wasn't long ago that he was optimistic about America's turning a corner, and now we're falling off a cliff into the abyss.
I don't think it's to get ratings. I think he really beieves the darkness that he's obsessed with, and may lose it some day.
I think praying for him is a very good idea.
You Beck haters are proving nothing but your ignorance to what King Obama wants to do to America. The parallels of history and the information that Beck has given us should ring a bell and America can fail. Sad those of you cannot see the damage that has been over the last 50 or so years. Analyze your freedom and see how much Government runs your life. Change must happen and cannot unless we realize that we are vulnerable. Our Constitution is being trashed. If you don’t like Beck then exercise your right and don’t watch. We will take up the fight for you.
I think he believes what he's saying. I think he thinks he knows the future (as some have said already, because he was right about one thing, once), and he's scared and trying to scare us into I don't know what.
I think there's something wrong with him right now. And I don't think it's greed.
You’d be making sense except I don’t think liberal shows depend on conservatives for ratings. I would threaten to quit watching but I don’t watch anyway.
A couple years ago I started to get to the point where I couldn’t watch a movie that featured an actor who spent any amount of time running down Bush and the war in Iraq.
Now, I’m real sensitive to who is on the shows and in the movies that I watch. I haven’t watched Avatar, not that it hurts Cameron very much, because I can’t get past the anti-American/anti-military message.
I’m pretty nervous because I like American Idol and Perez Hilton is broadcasting on his website that Simon Cowell endorsed him as his replacement for next season. I hope that is a giant mistake because there is very little in the way of television that I watch now except Red-eye on the DVR.
I can’t take too much of Beck either. Nor O’Reilly, O’Reilly has some opinions that he hasn’t put a lot of thought into such as the death penalty and his approval of confiscation of firearms by law enforcement in the event of weather emergencies. Hannity gets pretty repetitious. Ann Coulter needs her own show. I could get behind that.
I’m over 50. I own pretty much all I need so I not buying their advertisers products so I figure there is not much I can do to influence anything happening on TV.
What scares me is how Glenn, Rush, Hannity et.al jump on Obama’s known background for Marxist associates - BUT - all of them dismiss or refuse to delve into the STUFF WE ARE ENTITLED TO SEE.
I think they have knowledge but in this case knowledge is not power - but petrifying.
;(
Since he spoke about bankrupting the system as the only way to get out of our financial mess i’ve had a hard time watching as well.
He does plenty of good but sometimes is too far off the wall.
Personally I am much more optimistic for the long run now than I was a few months ago but there are very powerful forces doing battle here and very serious consequences for all of us, have no doubt.
That'd be kind of hard to do in the UK what with him not having any and all.
I'm no more ignorant of what "King Obama" wants to do to America than Obama himself is. He's an amateur and a fraud, and that's the good news, because if he and his excrement-head amen-chorus followers and go-to people were not amateurs and frauds they could deep-six our country and more than 400 years of work that went into it. As it is, it's going to be no cakewalk fixing the damage that he's done and will continue to do.
The good thing about left-wing ideologues like Obama is that they are infantile fools who are locked in a mental time-warp that keeps them from seeing reality. They hate reality, the truth enrages them, and they cultivate that rage in the belief that the hotter than can stoke the fires of their emotions, the more power they have to influence reality. This is "magic thinking," and its a form of mental illness.
I don't like Michael Savage (Weiner) either, but he's been right about a few things too, and one of them is that "liberalism is a mental disorder." That's true, at least for many who cling to it like it is life itself. They're addicts. Addicted to a lie, and it has made them into idiots.
That's what we have right now in Washington DC. A government of idiots, who think they can make rivers run uphill if they pass a law and scream at the sky. They will have their day, and then their day will end, and a new day will come. It happened with Reagan after Carter, and it will happen again after Obama.
I watched that episode and i never felt he was ‘joking’. I took that laugh as being in disbelief that Brown had made such a statement.
He either did a terrible job of getting your view over or people that saw it as i did are correct.
All i know is there are many on both sides of this argument which is startling in and of itself since we all saw the same show.
After all is said and done ,,, Beck remains the second most popular personality on cable TV today ,,, only to 0prah whether sponsors like him or not he’s gets ratings .
He’s on in the UK?
Anyone know which channel?
Fox news on Sky, got it.
And then she could eat the little piece of cake, shrink down and scurry back down the rabbit hole.
Pure Fantasy.
“You’re in Socialist Hands, with Allstate...”
When he stops bathing, and cutting his hair, and running around with animal skins on, I will start to worry.
He calls himself a rodeo clown.
Who am I to argue. I think he’s fun.
Beck is speaking live to CPAC on C-SPAN right now.
I’ve only heard him recommend things like getting your own affairs in order so that it soes not come -back to haunt you. I’ve never heard him say you should set yourself on fire, and run down the street screaming? Where are you getting this from?
