News Alert, single engine plane plows into building in Austin, Texas

Look for one more. These things always happen in threes*.

* Especially if you are free to define the timeframe, geography and relative fame of the participant.

Eyewitness says engine seemed to be full throttle as it went over parking lot across the street.

Said it was low, nearly clipping 30-foot parking lot lights.

MSNBC

Reports of injuries, unknown extent.

[It does seem to be a large amount of damage just to be a ‘small’ plane. One report said it may carry 40 gal of fuel, if I heard right.]

Where are the cameras on the other side of the building? Someone said there are no doors on the side of the building in view. Rescues would be on the other side of the building.

Someone on CNN saying four buildings in complex.

CORRECTION: Eyewitness account says the building DOES NOT house the FBI but it DOES house the IRS.

I had an uncle who flew small planes alot due to his insurance business. He used to own his own but eventually sold it when he went into semi-retirement. The last plane he rented crashed after take off when it just died in flight. He was hurt pretty bad but survived.

He said the rental planes are in no way kept up maintenance wise the way they should be according to the maint. manuals......

never saw this coming... oh wait... this is within the 12-18 month window since we let up on the pressure against AQ.

we are back to the 90s... refuse the terrorists the megaphone by denying any terrorist attacks, instead claiming them to be accidents or crazy people.

this resulted in the undeniable multi-prone attack on 9-11. i just hope i make it through this round... because i see much larger ordinance in the future.

this needs to be hung on necks of 0bambi and the dems/liberals/progressives

on a side note... what was Jim-bo Biden saying just this week??

how long do we need to allow the children (progressives) a place at the table?

I found the crash location (9400 Research Blvd) on Google maps. There are no general aviation airports nearby.

WASHINGTON — A law enforcement official says the crash of a small plane into a building in Austin, Texas does not initially appear to be the result of a crime or terrorism.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to publicly discuss the incident, and investigators are still responding to the scene of a seven-story office building in Austin.

Black smoke was coming from the building Thursday morning. The building is located on a major highway in the city.

Dawn Clopton, a division chief with the Austin Fire Department, says two people from the building are unaccounted for. She says it was a small private plane that crashed. No other information was immediately available.

Fox Local is reporting domestic dispute as catalyst.

Man set his own house on fire.

IRS is in building and is office for those having disputes with IRS. Not known if that has anything to do with this situation.

Name of home owner hadn’t been released.

Fox has decided that the guy had a beef with the IRS.
Excuse me didn’t the Ft. Hood terrorist get rid of all his belongings.
