Le,
You sure your nose isn’t growing?
Austin is the liberal bastion of Texas.
You get him, girl! :)
They even have a small video of Laz, which they show all the new TSA hires;
The mustache is just one of his various disguises, I'm told...
Jeff Ward now giving the synopsis.
I am still upset about 1706. And I can fly a plane too. And I’m a software engineer.
Personally I think there should be NO “employer/employee” income and FICA/Medicare/unemployement tax status — that everyone should have independent status.
But I do not bear grudges. Bad, bad, bad. Highly destructive.
Tax section 1706 was a great boon to the head-hunter, job-shop business. It really shut down many sole-proprietors in technical fields. After it no mid-size or big company would not hire an independent for project work, unless you incorporated, at the least. In my experience only a few small companies would.
After that the practice of private placement industry industry kick-backs to the client companies hiring officers became far more prevalent. It also created the infrastructure in which the hundreds of thousands of of Indian (India being the biggest) H1-B’s would flood into the market.
I was doing very well prior to 1985 as an independent contractor. I’ve never recouped my market positioning since then, since I like being independent, and not desiring to structure up into a company.
Why can’t I do that? Tax laws like 1706 really hobbled ground-up, boot-strappers.
However, I did get a laugh out of his "Events" page which says:
Joseph Andrew Stack does not have any upcoming events.
He leased the plane.
The F-16s were scrambled out of Houston, alerts all the way to CA.
NTSB had called it intentional at 10:20a.
Actually, FReeper “good old days” was the first to find the suicide note/manifesto while searching around for information on the pilot’s wife, Sheryl Stack. He/she copied and posted the url, but not as a live link:

Just after 2PM CST I received a call from a lady identifying herself as calling from CNN. She wanted to know if 12407 MOPAC in Austin was an apartment complex.
I told her no, it is a shopping center, I have apartment locating company that was located there. She asked if there were any apartments close that would have that address.
I told her no but their was a UPS store there that used the street address and the box numbers could be mistaken for apartment numbers.
She sounded very happy saying that makes sense now, thanked me and hung up.
I printed caller ID and sure enough the call came from Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta’
There seems to be more information they are seeking.
BTW I leased an apartment to a Andrew Stack here in NW Austin the first part of Febuary. I don’t know if it was him or not.
You listening to Jeff Ward?
Maybe he popped when he should have pushed.
Stack overflow error?
how much money does it cost a month to lease a plane like that?
I’m guessing at least $300/hr.
Idiot lefty on Jeff Ward just called him a fringe Tea Bagger.
He guess said caller didn’t actually read Stack’s manifesto.
Do you think it strange we don’t have a photo of this guy yet?
How about $100 per hour.
yeah well if he wasn’t using for business for which he could deduct as a business expense on his taxes... you see where i’m going
