IIRC, there is a small Army air field there from the good old days. Is it used for GenAv?I forgot about that one, I'll check to see.
Camp Mabry?
I wonder if this could've been a traffic airplane (not everyone uses helicopters for that).

Where is the office HIGH RISE? The photos don’t show a high rise. Did it collapse?

Is that in the flight path to any nearby airports? Fox asked same question. Unequivocally no.

A parachute is certainly an option on that plane. That particular area is full of open space and roads, any pilot with any experience would have steered into an open space if he were still alive at the wheel. If the pilot had a stroke or heart attack, then landings are random events.

There is a small general aviation airport very very close to this, “Birds Nest Airport”. A lot of small craft like this fly in and out of there and they do a lot of training there. Considering where downtown is, coming from the west this probably would be a direct approach path to Birds Nest.

Calm down... it could also be, if not accidental, a very white, very American pilot too. (Especially if the target was the IRS. lol)

“Camp Mabry, you mean? That’s probably about 5-7 miles south of there.”
Yes, I think that is the one I thought of.

I don’t like the FBI flippantly ruling out terrorism, but to be fair, they are just saying there is no reason to believe this is terrorism at this point.
That’s true. No notes found or anything yet to suggest this was deliberate.
