Joe the Plumber: I can’t support Palin if she supports McCain
Hot Air ^ | FEBRUARY 15, 2010 | ALLAHPUNDIT

Where does this fit in the great hierarchy of authenticity politics? Sarahcuda may be the most salt-of-the-earth pol on the American landscape but she’s also an internationally famous celebrity and multimillionaire. Surely a blue-collar Joe who’s been known to fix toilets outranks her. Does that mean she’s now been formally excommunicated from the church of “true conservatism” — as I suspected — or did yesterday’s NASCAR appearance imbue her with some sort of impregnable authenticity forcefield?

More importantly, does this mean Meggie Mac was right?

Wurzelbacher touched on several different points during his speech, and many of them were surprising. He said he doesn’t support Sarah Palin anymore. Why? Because she’s backing John McCain’s re-election effort. “John McCain is no public servant,” he told the room, calling the 2008 Republican nominee a career politician.

Henry Cabot Lodge didn’t endorse Nixon for CA governor in 1962 or for president in 1968, did he?

Non sequitur

As much disdain as I have for the RHINO, I still am grateful he picked her for his VP.

His Choice of Sarah was the single event of McCain’s run that I fully supported — yea applauded. Her loyalty to McCain is difficult to swallow. On the other hand her disloyalty would be far more difficult.

I can only hope that her support does not embellish McCain’s run

Godspeed

Can you imagin what a feast the Left would have if she didn’t back him. They would lose their minds with celebration.

Sarah, as always, is the perfect lady.

we’ll help the demonrats cut your throats. When you’re dead, we’ll form a party that will actually oppose evil.

That was done in 2006 and 2008. How's that working out for the country and our military?

I was wondering how we were gonna ditch Joe the Plumber when the time came. Now, it seems, he’s done it for us. Way to go, Joe.

He thinks McCain screwed up his life? Meh, Joe you don’t change my mind about Sarah for one second. Go unclog a pipe or something.

Palin appears to be a principalled person, but is still a politician. If she doesn’t support McCain, then she is being ungrateful to him for picking her out of obscurity and placing her on a national stage.

If she does not support McCain out of principal, how then can she reconcile accepting the offer to be his running mate.

I think she is an astute politician who disagreed with McCain on many issues, but was compelled to accept his selection as VP running mate and as a result, she is bound to support him. It would smack of severe ingratitude to say, “thanks for asking me to be your running mate, but I always hated you and your policies”.

Doesn’t really work in the world of politics, now does it. Joe is too simplistic in his understanding of politics to appreciate that.

“That’s dumb. In her heart, she’s not supporting him.”

There’s a lot of double talk on this board on this one—and a lot of slack you wouldn’t seen given to anyone but Sarah Pali. And I’m sorry, but if she’s not supporting McCain in her heart, why is she endorsing the guy? Just remaining silent would seem the thing to do.

It was *not* done in either of those years. How in the world could you think it was?

I can’t imagine that Sarah would NOT support John McCain. To refuse to do so would be a most ungracious thing to do, and she is nothing, if not a gracious person.

she gave all she had and much much more(including having her family dragged through the mud by the left and McCain’s staff stabbing her in the back) to McCain during the campaign.. she owes him nothing more

If she does the minimum, it will prove she is a loyal team player, and if JD wins the primary, she can campaign like hell for him and all will be well. If she goes all out for McCain in the primary, then that will make some people unhappy with her. I don’t blame her for helping the guy who selected her; hell, even Kyl has to endorse McCain, and DeMint, although he would prefer Hayworth, is neutral.

........Here we go again. There is a great conservative running against McCain and the woman that is suppose to be a leader is going to work for the very guy that messed us up in the last election.
You people that are backing her after this have not changed. You will over look these things instead of sticking to the cause. I pray we have enough common sense people to stick to the cause of returning truth to our government.

In 2006 voters gave democraps control of congress. ( teach rino's a lesson) In 2008 same thing, gave democrats executive and Justice.

Where were you and how did you miss all that.

The problem now as I see it we have real enemies, let me repeat, real enemies with total power running our country in the ground. Not because of incompetence as so many keep saying, it is being done systematically and intentional.

So helping the democrats cut the throat of Republicans has already been done since 2006 through 2008.

Joe speaks for the silent majority. The people that voted for Scott Brown in MA or McDonnell in VA.
