Where does this fit in the great hierarchy of authenticity politics? Sarahcuda may be the most salt-of-the-earth pol on the American landscape but shes also an internationally famous celebrity and multimillionaire. Surely a blue-collar Joe whos been known to fix toilets outranks her. Does that mean shes now been formally excommunicated from the church of true conservatism as I suspected or did yesterdays NASCAR appearance imbue her with some sort of impregnable authenticity forcefield?
More importantly, does this mean Meggie Mac was right?
Wurzelbacher touched on several different points during his speech, and many of them were surprising. He said he doesnt support Sarah Palin anymore. Why? Because shes backing John McCains re-election effort. John McCain is no public servant, he told the room, calling the 2008 Republican nominee a career politician.

Joe, get this straight.
You were the right’s answer to Cindy Sheehan. You were useful for a time as an average American that asked Obama a relevant and revealing question. The media gave you your 15 minutes of fame.
This does not make you a pundit, policy guru, figurehead or movement leader. Thank you for playing.
So you didn’t vote McCain/Palin in 2008? Hmmmmm.
This is repeatedly posted and is stupid.
If McCain did not think her support would have an effect he wouldn't have asked for it. The same people who state her support has no effect also state that she should get behind conservative candidates. Why? if she has no effect it shouldn't make any difference.
She has placed herself in an untenable position. If McCain wins she will be seen as the person who prevented a "common sense" conservative from gaining office by supporting a known RINO. If McCain loses, she will be seen as someone with little political clout who is irrelevant to future elections.
You may not like it, but this is where she has placed herself.
Too bad.
Live by the Tea Party, die by the Tea Party.
I’m giving Sarah a pass for supporting McCain because I understand why she feels compelled to do it although I’d be quick to point out that many of McCain’s aides blamed her for McCain’s loss so I’d never suggest she get too cozy.
Besides, I don’t know if Sarah has any coattails.
The Sarah Palin I fell in love with would not play this game. It's sickening to watch.
McCain needs put out to pasture and a real leader would tell the man so.
“Joe’s 15 min. are over.”
maybe he has a few minutes left, and if we are lucky he will use it to slap McCain and support JD - with straightforward discussion of their conservative political history, i.e. a RINO vs a Conservative. Like many of us, he’s unhappy with Sarah, but electing JD is the goal, yes?
I’m with Joe. I can’t support Palin if she is supporting McCain either. It’s a LOST cause.
Palin does not owe McCain a thing. If it hadn’t been for Palin McCain wouldn’t have gotten the votes he got.
You f’in troll. ESAD!
It’s a shame Palin isn’t as loyal to country and conservatism as she is to McQueeg.
Make all the excuses you want, people, but Palin made a dumb, unwise choice in backing McCain.
All Tea Partyers should openly and loudly oppose Palin in her wrong headed support of backstabber McCain.
Agreed.
Who really cares if Palin endorses McCain. It seems ungratious to me if she doesn't. Whatever she does in Arizona won't have any affect on McCain's chances.
I care. If she doesn't have the good sense to avoid endorsing a RINO then it brings her judgment into question in my mind. As for ungracious...as I recall, McCain hasn't been particularly enthusiastic about supporting here, especially when his aids were bashing her as anonymous sources in the press.
She doesn't yet have the nod in 2012. If she gets it and runs against Obama, whi is joe the Plumber going to support? Obama?
Ah, now that's spoke as a true republican. Are you really going to rely on the "our guy is the lesser of two evils" strategy again? I'll promise you this...if the republican party runs a RINO against Obama, I will skip voting. I'm done voting for the lesser of two evils. If the republicans want my independent vote they have to run a viable candidate. And before you try the worn out "then you'll be voting for Obama"...NO, the republicans will be selecting Obama as their candidate the moment they select a RINO to run as a republican presidential candidate. And I believe at this point it'll likely destroy the republican party. I predict that if the republicans run a RINO for president the Tea Party movement will become a political party and start running conservative candidates. That's just a prediction...but will the republicans run a RINO to test it?
cubreporter's been here roughly seven years longer than you have, so you might want to watch who you call a troll.
ok, you all win, yep, Sarah is nothing but a sell out rino; let’s toss her to the wolves.
Yes BACKBONE! Sarah Palin needs to be called out on her grand mistake of backing a RINO. We love Sarah but we are all human. Better she learn early we will not back her as she supports a RINO an a LA RAZA hero. He will get a lot of negative feed back for not backing Sarah.
PRINCIPLES BEFORE PERSONALITIES!
Ive been here since 98 numbnuts screw you.
I apluad him for standing against McCain. However I went and read the rest of his comments about Obama. And after that, I would not support “Joe” for anything. Hypocrite!
Hear hear. Need I say it, folks, but guess what? Sarah Palin is not my political messiah. She did not descend to earth through the clouds from heaven, and she is not going to rule and reign for a millennium in Washington, setting right all the wrongs and bringing judgment and justice to the earth.
