“apolitical, dime a dozen, ticket punching, flip flooping, Harvard cheese weasel lawyer”
Damning Willard with faint praise again?
He is right.
Romney was the preObama, proObama, protoObama shapeshifter.
Romney should have had a WARNING LABEL.
Romney ran against Republican establishment favorite McCain and got 4.5 million of the of the roughly 18 million votes available. This time, McCain’s almost 10 million votes are up for grabs and Romney is coming in as the establishment favorite...he cannot be dismissed at this point...work has to be done at the state level to do something about the primary systems (if it’s not too late)...magritte
Maybe he’s just the ‘runner’ Palin drafts until the home stretch.. and maybe he even realize this is his only useful attribute. It’s a free country, let him spend his money.
SO at least you are wise enough to save your self the heartache.
Damn, just damn...
I think you’re wrong about conservatives voting for lib republicans like Romney because “where else are they going to go.”
The same people made that argument when RINO Crist was running for governor in Florida. There was no way I would ever vote for that swish tail lib Crist even if he were the only one running. I didn’t vote for him then, I won’t vote for him now that he’s running for senate.
People jumped on my case then about supporting republicans, but now those same people know Crist and agree with me. They’ll never vote for Crist again. It just takes some a little longer to realize what’s happening, but I don’t believe conservatives are going to sell their souls anymore. I don’t care who Romney is running against. If he is the republican candidate, I will not ever vote for him. I’ll make sure everyone I know understands why I can never vote for him. I’ll sit on my hands, vote for every other office and leave presidential selection blank or if there is a good third party candidate, I’ll vote for him or her.
Then I’ll laugh at every person who dares to tell me that a vote for the third party candidate is a vote for the democrat because I already know that a vote for Romney is a vote for the democrat.
You are so right! I wish I knew how to post one of those barf vomit gifs. I'd do it every time I saw one of these RINO republicans slander Reagan in support of their slick-haired, lying, progressive hero.
“Im not looking to debate you on Romney, but Id be interested in knowing why you classify him as aRINO.”
He’s sure as hell not a conservative - That pretty much makes him a RINO.
"A political party cannot be all things to all people.
It must represent certain fundamental beliefs
which must not be compromised to political expediency
or simply to swell its numbers."
-- President Ronald Reagan
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldnt make any sense at all.""
-- President Ronald Reagan
Stop with the verbal spaghetti.
He voted for slavery.
He supports gun control.
How is that upholding and defending the constitution?
A serious question, if I may. I more than understand your doubt about Romney because of Romney care (as well as stands on gun control, gay rights, some other items). But to say that because he flip flopped on abortion doesn’t make sense. He flipped to the pro-life side. Why does that disqualify him? I thought the whole point was to get people to flip to the pro-life side?
There are plenty of people who change their minds on abortion. My objection is when he says he was “always” pro-life.
Nope...NEVER....NOT....GONNA.....VOTE.....FOR.....HIM....NEVER!!!
Don’t make me throw up. NO ROMNEY!
Hi Salvation. Kind of a ‘religion’ question for you. On another Romney thread (there were a ‘rash’ (plague?) of them today), there was a question about posts like this by JR concerning the Mittster. Would you agree that ‘FR-wise’, these could be considered like scripture?
Do you know when he changed? Just in time for the 2008 Republican Presidential primaries, he didn't explain it, nothing seemed to change, he merely said, out of the blue that in a barely related conversation with a scientist, He suddenly had an epiphany and then he became pro life just in time for the primary race.
Not very convincing for a 59 year old actively and aggressively pro abortion politician, especially when the scientist says it didn't happen.
Anyone that has to ask why we consider Mitt-witt a RINO is too far to the left to understand.
He is against gun rights, pro-choice, supports nationalized healthcare.
He can gear up until the cows come home...it won’t work.
