Bryan Adams’ performance with Nelly Furtado was disappointing.
I thought Terry Fox’s mother was supposed to lite the caulderon too but when she came out with the flag, I guess that went out the door.
For a moment I thought Wayne and her would lite it together until the 3(should have been of course 4)sections came up. I think having Steve Nash there was great too...
BTW, you could take your argument and say the parents should be marching too. I stick with 'athletes only'.
Well, like I said, we will just leave it up to the atheletes then if the coaches should join or not.

I thought the opening show was spectacular! It dragged in some parts and a lot of those “indigenous peoples” looked like they were recruited and dressed by Ward Churchill- but otherwise, the visual effects were stunning! Well done Canada!

Rush did not play. The rumor is, they were supposed to be after the punk fiddlers and the whole segment was supposed to be very upscale (they were going across the country by providence and that would have been in the Toronto, Great Lakes section) and more about city life. But due to the luger’s passing, they organizers thought they should cut it and keep the whole thing somber. :-|
So the new rumor is that they will be in the closing ceremonies.
I figured they called some audibles last night because of what happened earlier.
