TIFTON, GA (WALB) –An unusual case of animal cruelty in Tift County. Someone shot a cat with an arrow. The family thinks someone in their neighborhood is responsible. They hope whoever did it will admit it.
Meet Tom, the five year old family cat with a whole lot of personality, and a whole lot of strength.
"He's got the exit wound and entry wound where that arrow was lodged in him," said Dr. Branch.
For being able to survive a cruel and unnecessary act, that could have taken his life.

What????
Yep.....put an arrow through the punk who did this.
One that is worried about missing with a rifle and ricochets and the noise of a gun shot. Keep kitty inside!
What kind of person kills cats: Many types of people. It is a common practice in certain parts of Europe that hold to superstitions. It is common practice among animal haters. Some people find cats destructive. And an arrow in the cat does not fit with people wanting a blood sacrifice.
One of my cats was killed by a friend’s mom because it went to the bathroom in her garden. Another one of my cat was thrown in oil by a neighbor with mental issues (later learned over time). When I grew up I kept my cats inside.
Any other questions?
I could tell you how it would be done but then I'd have to kill you......
LOL!
It's plain that you torture yourself, but do you have to torture me, too?
It's a rhetorical question. Please don't answer.
better yet, cut the throat and watch the person bleed out while you tell him how important the cat was to you. that’ll fix’em! sarc
My spayed/neutered cats roam freely (but also have a cat door so they’re never stuck outside looking for food or shelter). At the first sign of a propensity to kill healthy birds, the ID tag and rabies tag on kitty’s collar is joined by a nice loud bell. Does the trick. And I scatter a generous helping of birdseed in my driveway everyday — provides entertainment for kitties and fattens up the birds so they have plenty of babies of every year. I’ve had 3-4 indoor-outdoor cats for the entire 20 years I’ve lived in this house, and they certainly haven’t made a dent in the bird population. I’ve got a much wider variety of birds than when I first moved in.
Please don't tell me you are unaware of the damage cats have done to the quail population, etc. Many outdoorsman consider a feral cat the same as the coyotes that eat little dogs and cats. Feral cats are pests just like coyotes.
If you have a pet cat,, keep it at home,,, thats all.
tan my hide when i die clyde, tan my hide when i die.
It’s probably best to keep those kids who go around shooting other peoples pets indoors. They might pick the wrong persons pet to kill and wind up on a milk carton.
I live where mountain lions, antelope, coyotes, and wild horses are known to walk right across our front yards and unless you lived here you'd take one look at my neighborhood and never believe what I'm saying is true until you saw with your own eyes a coyote running with half a dead cat in it's mouth or a wild horse rolling around on your front lawn acting like an idiot. Every day there's wild horse bands that come down from the hills and forage for grass. The streets are littered with piles of road apples and some people who get up very early to go to work find their driveway and street filled with wild horses.
That said, I believe that anyone who picks up a BB gun, crossbow, .22 pistol, shotgun, or anything else and intends to kill a housecat or a stray dog just for walking across their property has voluntarily joined the ranks of the white F'in trash. Thank heavens that I haven't got any provincial retards like that living anywhere near me.
You can't be serious about the threat of little housecats laying waste to your property when we've got feral horses crapping up and down the street and stomping mudholes in the front yard.
I seriously think you might need to talk to a professional.
you’re so right. cats and birds are like peanut butter and jelly.
the bells level the playing field and makes it a hoot to watch i’m sure.
My sympathies. But perhaps the cat owners should keep their pet inside.
You have an enclosed garage for your vehicles, don't you..... must be nice.......
I continue to believe that when people do stuff like this, or when Vick did what he did electrocuting dogs or whatever, it ought to be done to the perp. Same thing for child abusers too...and wife beater...sell tickets...
you did see the (sarc)
people just see this issue in different ways.
some folks like my grand-father will treat their cats better than their own kids. thats what i call evil.
then some want to kill a person over a cat? it just don’t figure to me.
i own a farm. i like (don’t love) animals. and treat them well. there is a line between the two. those who cross the line are the ones that need professional help.
