Members of the Senate Finance Committee unveiled a long-awaited bipartisan jobs bill Thursday morning only to have it scrapped within hours by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Reid killed the bill after hearing complaints from members of his own caucus who argued that Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) had gone too far beyond the core goal of job creation in order to win over Republican support.
It was a major rebuke for Baucus, whod spent weeks working with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the ranking Republican on his committee, trying to come up with a bill that Republicans would support.

Gotta hold up Reid’s statement to a mirror in order to read the reality. The “sop to the Republicans” was the only thing remotely jobs-related in the bill. well, let Harry say what he wants, the bill was killed because the People would see how far off the mark it was.

So . . . . all of the non-jobs pork was the fault of the Republicans? Riiiight.......

What’s going on? They just played a clip of Reid praising the bipartisan job’s bill on ABC radio!

No, more likely Baucus is tanking in the MT poll numbers and is trying to swerve back to the middle.

Gee, I never thought I would say this:
Good For Reid!
Send them all home for 6 months and let us have a freakin’ break from professional politicians trying to figure out sound business practices.
Go home and let the voters work on you for a while.

Charles Grassley is a quietly operating patriot. I’m waiting patiently until he’s Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee once more! I’m glad to call him a friend.

Reid told reporters that the Baucus-Grassley bill wouldnt do enough to show voters that the Senate was serious about addressing the unemployment problem. ROFL! And Baucus worked on it for weeks.

The last thing we need is a JOBS bill from congress.
If they want to increase "meaningful" jobs, leave us alone.

McConnell and Kyl did a masterful job of holding 40 diverse GOP senators together b4 Christmas in the midst of intense pressure from the MSM and the White House. Because of their leadership and maneuvering, they cost the RATS weeks and weeks of delays, ultimately culminating in the Scott Brown miracle.
People who trash McConnell’s skills are misinformed and very ill-advised.
McConnell and Kyl saved 17 percent of our economy from total nationalization and a road to ruin.
