I have no use for truthers but if a candidate (Medina) is good enough I will vote for him despite it

Medina came on Beck as truther lite. Not hard core and this makes a difference.

doesn’t it concern you that people are so desperate that they aren’t dismissing her?

And contrary to your initial post I think Beck was shocked and frustrated by her and then the people calling in afterward. He knows our frustration, his responses were appropriate in my opinion. These desperate people need to be shaken real, real hard to not "fall for it." Beck threw the red flag on her. To all those still trying to defend this candidate from herself...listen to the interview again and contemplate her answers just as thoroughly as you do 0bama. She dodged and danced a lot. Why?

I’d rather pay for those services (the ones that I use) themselves than have a perpetual tax on the property that I supposedly own.

Before my wife and I settled on moving south, we were looking at paying over $900 a month just in property taxes for a home in upstate NY. So, even after I paid the mortgage completely off, I was stuck with at $900 bill that amounted to A RENT BILL FROM THE STATE for my property. If I don’t pay, it isn’t that ‘services’ get shut off. I can’t cut the bill down by deciding to use a different provider for service. No, they just kick me out and take the land that I supposedly own.

This is an affront to property rights and private property is essential in a free society.

Medina is a loon, but she’s dead on when it comes to property taxes.

Nope, my statement just held as much credence as yours.

I am glad you see that. Which means me calling you a fool is foolish in itself.

Beck is not a phony. Believe him or not, but he has stayed true to his course and admits when he is wrong. There is nothing phony about that

uhm— I am with ya—

I think she is done, and should be.....

my point was that folks are desperate enough that they would support her anyway...

I don’t agree with supporting her despite her answers...I am just saddened that people are this desperate as to support her even after her interview with Beck...she BOMBED!

Beck cares about Beck, he’s a phony.

I don't listen/watch someone to support my view on any issue. I listen/watch to soak up as much information as I can to better formulate how I may view an issue. That in no way means that I agree totally with anyone and I can use that same logic for your response because he won't go after the birther issue.

The issues he is investing time on right now are those that go to the core of what is wrong with our society which ironicly is at the root of the apathy of the birther issue. On the scale of probabilities of efffecting any changes at all, why get bogged down in an issue that would take more years to resolve that even his potential is for being in office.

We can far more effect the political climate and stop his horrendous spending and bowing right now than to fight an issue of recourse that can only be moved forward as a legal case.

Beck pretended to be well versed on the BC issue, which he is not. His staments indicated that at best he is misinformed. Had he replied that he didn’t think the issue was important to him and therefore he has not researched it would have be less phony.

Because he misrepresented the facts of the issue and then slamed those who are well versed he is a phony.

If he really believed in “speak the truth to power” he would be speaking about the BC issue.

He he a phony.

I don't generally watch Beck and I'm not a truther.

However, no candidate is going to agree with you 100% on every issue.

If being not being forcefully anti-truther is a deal killer for you, so be it. It isn't a deal killer for other voters.

I'm sure plenty of fine people have served in government while harboring all sorts of unfashionable views about the Kennedy Assassination, The Moon Landing, The Roswell UFO Crash and any other historical event.

If someone says they haven't thought much about the Truther issue, maybe they're a liar, maybe they're a nut, and maybe they're not a deep thinker. It's definitely something to consider. However, I'd rather vote for someone who hasn't given a minute's thought to Trutherism and who isn't going to pass any legislation about it one way or another, vs a zealous global warming fanatic who can't wait to confiscate your property and tax the very air you breathe.

Anyway, it's a matter of priorities. The way you phrase the question - these people are so desperate for x that they're willing to overlook y - is more dramatic than it needs to be. They might not think of y as being much of a big deal, and they might think that x is a really big deal.

Michael Moore is the wealthiest exploiter of Trutherism in the history of the world, and he has a permanent front row seat at any Democrat even he cares to attend. So the idea that Trutherism makes someone unelectable is clearly flawed.

Sorry again, but your post is duplicitous at best.

Anyone reading this would have to conclude you are sympathetic with Medina by trying to defend her supporters who were trying to rescue her by shifting the focus to her stances on other issues.

She’s totally unqualified and no longer deserves to be publicly defended, nor should her supporters. I’ve now heard enough from and about her and have no interest in supporting her. I have fewer, less severe disagreements with other two candidates at this point.

I will admit that she did peak my interest in the beginning.

I was typing away at my computer half listening and then had to actually stop. I looked at the radio like...

What the he** is going on? Beck...supports this? Oh...this has to be a mistake on his part. He is getting bulldozed here(giggled at that thought). Takes a bunch to do that to Beck.

I was actually glad when he wrapped the interview. He was shocked.

If you believe that the government of the USA, headed at the timer by George W Bush was responsible for the attacks of 911 you are a nut!

I agree that the government was not responsible for the attack but I also agree that the government is responsible for not preventing the attack. I also believe that the 911 Commission, it's hearings and it's report were 90% BS and a huge whitewash. Does this make me a "truther"? Some here apparently think so.

Some day I would like to know the whole story behind our intelligence failures concerning 911. Some day I would also like to know the truth about Obama's background and citizenship status. Am I a "birther" too? Beck would seem to think so.

So many ways to label people and so little time......

Desperate (uninformed) people, such as those who voted for Hope & Change, will do stupid things. Sad but true.

I’ve never heard anyone who “knowingly” committed political suicide…………...until now.

you’re sad that I attributed it to a talk show host?

actually, the sad part is that my life was such a mess, that there was no one else in my life who bothered to inspire me to be better.

I had escaped a very dangerous and abusive marriage. The sad part is that I withdrew from society in shame. I am thankful that there was a voice on the radio that told me everyday that this is America, and I can make it. I can succeed. I can’t blame anyone else for my failure. Only I could change my life.

and so I did.

No flames from me, but I'm your polar opposite.

I've found Glenn's programs are becoming increasingly irrational, especially in his pursuit to push a third political party to the fore, perhaps led by himself.

But, he redeemed himself today, as least in my eyes, by showing candidate Medina to be way out on the fringes of Libertarianism. Any person giving a pass to the 9/11 Truthers is unfit for office, in my book.
