The thing about Chrissy and MSNBC is that no one in charge is paying attention to him. Why would they? He can say anything his booze addled brain slurs up, because the audience is gone.
Matthews has his definition of what and of whom is an American. He is entitled to his opinion. I have been asking others on FR just what does it mean to be an American? What is the American dream? What is an American? Some believe that being an American means supporting the government no matter what. That is a valid point of view. I have a different way of looking at what it means to be an American. The American dream was freedom or liberty. It was that a man by hard work and honest labor could enjoy the fruits of his labor without excessive government interference: maximum freedom, minimum government. The Constitution was created to protect people from an intrusive and overbearing government, but it has failed. Government continues to grow and personal freedom continues to shrink.
