Critics of Michael Steele's tenure as RNC chairman are motivated by racism, Steele suggested in an interview published today.
Speaking to the Washingtonian Magazine (no online version), Steele wondered why his DNC counterpart doesn't get the same criticism he does.
"I don’t see stories about the internal operations of the DNC that I see about this operation," Steele said. "Why? Is it because Michael Steele is the chairman, or is it because a black man is chairman?”
The RNC has experienced significant staff turnover since Steele became chairman, especially in the communcations shop. That has prompted speculation about Steele's management style.
Steele's comment about racism, however, will only further anger his Republican critics, who have lamented his repeated gaffes.
“Steele wondered why his DNC counterpart doesn’t get the same criticism he does.”
Could it be because his DNC counterpart has huge majorities in the House and Senate? Is it possible to criticize ANY black guy and not have him think it’s racial? Will ANY accept resposibility for their own FAILURES?
No. Steele has been racially promoted. This is what happens when race is used as a filter. It is somewhat similar to the election of Zero. Now THAT was racially motivated — 96% of the black vote I believe. Results are the same: failure.
One word for Steele: FIRED!

RNC won’t be getting a dime from me this year or anytime soon. I’ll pick and choose my own candidates to donate to.

I think we’ve saw this episode before. It was time for Steele to go a couple months back too.
Newt gave cover for Steele to use the race card last month. Newt wondered if GOP grumbling over Steele was due to race.
Who picked this guy? Everybody hates me because I’m black. He would fit right in at the DNC.

The final straw! Kick this whining scumbag out right now....The “race card” being used by a member of the RNC is bad enough...but for the leader???...He needs to be removed ASAP or he is going to interfere with the 2010 elections negatively...
