February 07, 2010 Palin 'Would Be Willing' to Take On Obama in 2012

By Judson Berger - FOXNews.com Sarah Palin has President Obama in her sights, telling FoxNews.com she "would be willing" to challenge him in the 2012 presidential race. Sarah Palin has President Obama in her sights, telling FoxNews.com she "would be willing" to challenge him in the 2012 presidential race.

The former Alaska governor, in an interview Saturday on the sidelines of the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, said President Obama's "lack of experience" has held him back his first year in office and that she would put her credentials up against his any day.

"I would be willing to if I believe that it's right for the country," Palin said when asked if she would run for president in 2012. She qualified the statement, adding that she sees "many" other potential candidates who are "in as strong or stronger position than I am to take on the White House and if they're in a better position than I in three years, I'll support them."

But the former GOP vice presidential nominee told "Fox News Sunday": "I won't close the door that perhaps could be open for me in the future."

She delivered the keynote address Saturday at the tea party convention, using it to hammer Obama as soft on terrorism. When convention organizer Judson Phillips mentioned the idea of "President Palin" in a question-and-answer session afterward, audience members leapt to their feet and burst into a chant of "Run, Sarah, Run."

Sarah Palin has suffered the same fate. Like Quayle, she is attractive and relatively young, so she can easily be and has been painted as a Barbie doll. Because of this, unlike Hillary Clinton, Palin actually had to be the smartest woman in the world (or at least in contemporary politics), but she did nothing to help her cause in this regard. By her own admission, the now infamous Katie Couric interview was a crash-and-burn affair. Moreover, if even ten percent of what has been alleged about her wanting knowledge base is true, we have to wonder if she was busy going rogue when she should have been paying attention in the classroom. And what of her shocking resignation from the Alaska governorship, one of the oddest political happenings in memory? Oh, that was just Sarah Barracuda being a maverick? Good luck selling that one.

Garbage!

The media will attempt this kind of crap on every single CONSERVATIVE Republican that comes along.

They tried it with Reagan, and they certainly tried it with the less-than-conservative Bush.

The Reason they were successful with Quayle, is he did not fight back.

Palin won't give up and will always fight back and in the end, she will be the nominee in '12 and the next POTUS.

By the way flowerplough, which horse are you backing in `12?

clearly, Independents are enamored with the Won. They will certainly vote to endorse the future bankruptcy of the nation just to carry out the legacy of an SNL caricature. You forget that when it comes down to the indys, they care about fiscal conservatism and the economy.

That being said, you are absolutely right that Independent voters will turn away from Sarah Palin because they want a President that will clearly read the “Declaration of Sovereign Bankruptcy” from a teleprompter.

People are already sick of this guys sh!t. He decides to double down and give us more of it. And Independents are going to vote for that?

I find your post amusing. It’s the people with “experience”—excepting Onada—who’ve given us the brave new world we’re living theough right now. I care more about people who think, believe in the Constitution and understand that capitalism made America great than I do about “experience”.

I’m not taking sides yet. I have to look more into DeMint’s record/positions on foreign policy and social issues, and then, of course, there is the electability issue. I’m just not sold for Sarah. I have an eye on other candidates (excluding, however, Gingrich, Romney, Guiliani ...).

If Palin is the best the stupid party can come up with they will lose.

I'm sure you will pay hell for your comment, but I'm in agreement with you to a point.

I support and would vote for Palin as POTUS in a heartbeat, but I'm afraid she already has been boxed in to a template by the moon bat left and their drooling sycophant media clowns.

Sarah Palin is hated by the left, denigrated by the Rockefeller Republicans as a hayseed, scorned by the media because she is a threat to their grip on power.

Each segment of her detractors hate her for different reasons, but all hate her because they are scared to death the religious right which has been reconstituted into the Tea Party movement will once again be the power players in national politics like under Reagan.

They have strived for years to marginalize the religious right and will do everything in their power to kill or worse infiltrate the tea party movement to destroy it.

They can and will demonize and marginalize Sarah Palin so she cannot win.

Watch the movie National Lampoons Vacation.

When the family gets lost in E St Louis, and asks for directions, I would recommend that you follow the pimp’s instructions..

If Palin is the best the stupid party can come up with they will lose.

so you are against conservative principles of:

1) balanced budgets
2) limited/just government
3) free/rational society
4) free markets
5) pro-God
6) God-given natural individual rights
7) pro-life
8) national security
9) pride in and love for America

because she made it clear in her speech last night that these were her principles.

Jim worked behind the scene and ZOT! Apparently, this troll, who’s been around since 2007, BTW, was a real schmuck. I went back to his ‘In Forum’ and even his non-pulled posts were pretty bad. A temper, and pro-abortion doesn’t fare well here.

“The Quayled Lady: Why You Should Forget Sarah Palin

By Selwyn Duke”

Thanks, but I don’t need advice from some tennis pro turned pundit. I found an article he wrote titled “The Female Ego”, which provides a clue as to why he dislikes (or is afraid of Sarah Palin). It also says a lot about him and his character:

“It occurred to me a while back, as I thought about my chauvinistic teasing of a woman who is very close to my heart, that I had stumbled into genius. For if you’re looking for a litmus test for a prospective wife there’s none better then that of the tweaking of the modern female ego. All you need do is utter words such as “You do that very well . . . for a girl” with a twinkle in your eye and a boyish smirk on your face, and observe what ensues. Her reaction will tell you more about her than any computer dating service or impromtu little encounter session ever could. For as sure as night follows day, the degree to which her reaction is negative will be directly proportional to the degree to which she’s been inculcated with feminism.”

This guy sounds like a clod to me. If this is his approach to women, he is looking for a doormat, not a wife/girlfriend. The fact that he professes to think that Sarah is finished suggests to me that he is afraid that “the girl” might become Commander in Chief and President of the United States. He may be too insecure in his own manhood to handle that, but those of us at FR are not. Selwyn better get used to the idea, because it’s coming.

Next time you post something of his, it should be carefully screened or should receive the obligatory “Barf Alert”

Not any more, they're not - but that doesn't mean they will vote for Palin.

Look, electoral politics in this degraded age has turned into a big problem. Reagan won, and held, his Democrats because in important ways he was one of them. That's where he came from, he loved them, and they knew it.

Same with Scott Brown. He loved the MA independents better than Croakley, and they loved him back.

Electoral independents are not very attractive people, IMO, but they hold the balance of power for the forseeable future, and they have been convinced (or propagandized, if you prefer, no matter) to hate Sarah Palin.

The setup is that every gesture of love that her base pours out for Sarah turns more independents off from her.

It's a trap, a very clever one, and if she is serious, she has to figure a way out.

And her supporters have to help her do it.
