clearly, Independents are enamored with the Won. They will certainly vote to endorse the future bankruptcy of the nation just to carry out the legacy of an SNL caricature. You forget that when it comes down to the indys, they care about fiscal conservatism and the economy.

That being said, you are absolutely right that Independent voters will turn away from Sarah Palin because they want a President that will clearly read the “Declaration of Sovereign Bankruptcy” from a teleprompter.

People are already sick of this guys sh!t. He decides to double down and give us more of it. And Independents are going to vote for that?

Not any more, they're not - but that doesn't mean they will vote for Palin.

Look, electoral politics in this degraded age has turned into a big problem. Reagan won, and held, his Democrats because in important ways he was one of them. That's where he came from, he loved them, and they knew it.

Same with Scott Brown. He loved the MA independents better than Croakley, and they loved him back.

Electoral independents are not very attractive people, IMO, but they hold the balance of power for the forseeable future, and they have been convinced (or propagandized, if you prefer, no matter) to hate Sarah Palin.

The setup is that every gesture of love that her base pours out for Sarah turns more independents off from her.

It's a trap, a very clever one, and if she is serious, she has to figure a way out.

And her supporters have to help her do it.

Bambi has lost the independents big time, and with him doubling down, he is likely to lose them forever.

This is a winnable race by her. She has two full years to climb in the polls with independents, and I wouldn't bet against her. She's got an impressive record of winning when most thought she didn't have a chance.
