Impact of Amnesty: In analyzing the 2007 CIR bill, Robert Rector of The Heritage Foundation stated, “The main fiscal impact…will occur through two mechanisms: (1) the grant of amnesty, with accompanying access to Social Security, Medicare and welfare benefits, to 12 million illegal immigrants who are overwhelmingly low skilled; and (2) a dramatic increase in chain immigration, which will also be predominantly low skilled. The bottom line is that high school dropouts are extremely expensive to U.S. taxpayers. It does not matter whether the dropout comes from Ohio, Tennessee, or Mexico. It does matter that the Senate immigration bill would increase the future flow of poorly educated immigrants into the U.S. and grant amnesty and access to government benefits to millions of poorly educated illegal aliens already here. Such legislation would inevitably impose huge costs on U.S. taxpayers.”
Heritage research has concluded that the cost of amnesty alone would be $2.6 trillion. And the number of additional LEGAL immigrants who would join those who were the recipients of amnesty through chain migration, i.e., family reunification, would approach 70 million over a 20-year period, assuming there are only 12 million illegal aliens. We cannot assimilate such numbers. An amnesty would destroy the United States of America with the stroke of a pen. Amnesty is forever.
It is fools like you who don't understand what amnesty is nor the impact it will have on the country. You need to get better informed.

I told Palin's advisors that she must distance herself from McCain, especially his position on amnesty. He is toxic to any future political ambitions she may have. They said they would take her down to the border to get briefed on the issue. But that is not the real issue. Amnesty is the isssue.
Palin is going to be placed on the spot in AZ when she campaigns for McCain. The media there will not let her get away with imprecise and ambiguous language on the issue. Hayworth and Simcox will be drawing the line between them and McCain on this issue. If Palin supports McCain on amnesty, she has shot herself in the foot.
I have a second home in Scottsdale. A number of us are planning to go out there to help JD against the "Amnesty King" as McCain is referred to in the immigration movement. McCain must be defeated. He is very vulnerable. He was the only top tier candidate of either party who failed to win his/her home state with 50% or more of the vote in the primary. The 2010 senate primary is closed to Reps only. McCain is in the fight of his political life and he could care less if he needs to sacrifice Palin to win.

Courage is indeed the right word to describe Sarah, when these professional campaign managers and staff micromanage what these candidate can or can’t say and tell them to be cautious until the wind is just right, it leaves most people distrustful of what a candidate truly believes in and is....Sarah is a breath of fresh air and tells it like it is, she is not perfect but maybe that’s the point, we look for perfect people when there is none, but we do look for perfection because the campaigns and parties make these politicians look almost perfect, sound perfect, and act perfect............It’s time that people get real about real people like Sarah.

I've always said Scott Brown would make a good Democrat.
Whether he has an "R" or a "D" after his name, I see little difference. Pro-Roe, Pro-abort, Pro-RomneyCare, Pro-man caused global warming, Pro-state sponsored gay marriage rights. Not to mention his willingness to work and vote with the Dems, willing to work with the asshat John Kerry, calling fat Teddy Kennedy a "great guy", making robo calls for McCain and campaigning with Rudy Giuliani, Bill Weld and Mitt Romney at his side.
Scott Brown is no conservative, he's a northeast liberal-rino.

Scott Brown is liberal, period. He supports baby killing as a Constitutional right. Brown is no better then Giuliani, Romney, Kerry, Kennedy or the Clinton's.

Immigration is a big issue but not the only big issue.
The growth of government size and power is another very big issue . If this growth of government is not stopped then no other issue wil matter as the U.S. will turn into the socialist USSR. No one is better than Palin is against big government.
Plus Palin is not for Amnesty for illegals.
If you think there is only one issue then you all need to have your head examined.
