This was not a policy speech.

I know what I want to hear about spending. Defund the Departments of Education, Agriculture, Natural Resources, etc. Defund the EPA. Defund ACORN like organizations...

If she put all those details in the speech, (1) she would be tipping her hand and (2) the cuts would become an issue. If I were running I would keep them secret until I won and then by Executive Order I would fire as many government workers as I would be allowed under the law. Luckily I am not running ; )

Class would’ve carried the Huckster SO much further. All potential candidates run a huge risk if they sink to dissing her and enraging her supporters.

I wouldn’t have been able to last 5 minutes giving a speech like that. I remember in college I had to give speeches in class and I absolutely HATED it. I would literally shake up there, and picturing people in their underwear does NOT work. Sarah did an amazing job. She was calm, she was in her element, and better yet, she was HONEST..no need for a teleprompter..she was speaking from the heart and saying what she feels. Watching her speak tonight, just gave me more reasons to admire her. I think she is wonderful..exactly what this country needs. The left hate her because she is one of only a few Republicans with the GUTS to go after Obama. She really can’t stand him, I don’t blame her, look at what he is doing to our country

Totally joy and love filled room (except of course for the press reps beside whom I was sitting. Sarah Palin was not only beautiful in appearance but beautiful in spirit with a light in her clear eyes and a joy in her face that I have not seen in any politician EVER. And every point she made was right on target!!! How I wish Katie Couric could have been seated right up front and center......though it would have been a mess when her head exploded (figuratively speaking, of course). :-)
