Ah, Ronaldus Maximus! How I miss him every time I hear the word ‘President’! He was a once-in-a lifetime leader, a man we needed when we needed him. Oh, how we need him now!I was honored to have been in the same building with him during the RNC here in New Orleans- what a thrill, even far away!
God Bless him, and thank God for him!

Happy Birthday President Reagan!

These days I’m feeling like he’s our Obi-Wan kenobi. “Help us President Reagan, you’re our only hope!”

Because I do hope he’s doing all he can from where he is to help us Americans.

Hi Dolly, thanks for the ping and thanks for honoring Pres. Reagan’s birthday. He was so positive and inspirational. In fact he represented the American dream. I did not appreciate him as much at the time because I thought it was simply to be expected that such natural talent would rise to the top. Silly me.

Compared to our current negative, progressive White House occupant, President Reagan looks like a saint!

You are sorely missed #40. And you are in our prayers on this, your special day.

Oh, Dolly, thank you so much for posting this tribute to the most beloved POTUS of my lifetime!

I remember hearing Ronald Reagan's speech A Time For Choosing
when I was a teenager. Thankfully, the Goldwater campaign had thought it was such an effective speech that they had it shown on television across the country.

My parents had always been interested in history/current events/politics, so I had grown up with an awareness of those things. But, seeing and hearing Ronald Reagan make this speech inspired me to become even more interested. I wanted to be able to vote for him for POTUS, and, thank God, I was able to do that very thing - twice!

Lord, how we thank You for Ronald Reagan, and how we miss him!

*******

Happy Birthday, Mr. President, with love and thanksgiving for your service to our great nation!

WFB, Jr & RR. I must read Buckley's book, "The Reagan I Knew."

So many books, so precious little time...
