Sen. Carl Levin, chairman of the powerful Senate Armed Services Committee, opened hearings on the military’s Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy by calling for the repeal of that policy and for gay and lesbian soldiers to be allowed to serve openly. The Lansing State Journal reports:
Opening a hearing on the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy on gays in the military, Michigan Democrat and Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin said it’s time to repeal what he considers a discriminatory policy that hurts military effectiveness.
“I did not find the arguments used to justify ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ convincing when it took effect in 1993, and they are less so now,” Levin said…
“Thousands of troops – 13,500 by one estimate – have been forced to leave the military under the current policy,” Levin said. “Certainly that number includes many who could help the military complete its difficult and dangerous missions.”
It looks as though repeal of this policy is inevitable. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, a Republican holdover, is firmly behind the change. And over the last 17 years, dozens of high ranking military officials have likewise come out in favor of allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly.

This is an opportunity folks. Obama is making the same mistake Clinton did. This is not a winning issue. It makes the Democrats look even more liberal. The masks are off. Now the question is will the Republicans have the guts to use this issue or will they cower in front of the threat of the pink mafia?

Gays CAN serve in the military. This is a non-issue being used to secure their base...because of what happened in MA.
Let’s repeal Carl Levin. Unfortunately, he doesn’t come up for reelection until 2014.
A year after the policy is changed, we will see this happen on every military base.
After a torrid romance, begun at the base all-ranks club, LT Bob will marry LT Bill in the base chapel.
Then they will move into base housing, and begin adopting their children, or hiring wombs to do the trick.
If Bob and Bill want to slow dance and make out in the clubs, that is their business.
Anybody who has a problem with any of the above will just have to grit their teeth and say nothing. Otherwise, they will be given 1.0 (failing) marks on the EEOC portion of their fitness reports. Or they will even be charged with “hate crimes.”
A vast number of our best troops won’t stay in the new gay-orama military, and our combat readiness will collapse.
This is the future folks, if we don’t stop this.

Notice that in many cases, the legislature never repealed any laws against homosexuality, it was an agenda advanced through the courts.
Why not pass a law permitting same sex desire afflicted persons to serve openly in the military?
They want to talk about sex in the middle of a firefight???
I doubt national security will even make their top ten list for reasons to join.
a few years ago, my husband and I stayed at the Hale Koa hotel in Hawaii.
Sadly, there was a gay couple there, with their adopted baby. Blech.
I guess 1 of them was retired and out. Now we don’t have to wait for retirement.
Dress em all in pink uniforms and make them point man on all missions, let em flush out the bad guys where real military personnel can then wipe them out.

What makes faggotry a privileged perversion ? Why not add pedophiles ? Or those who like sex with animals ? Think of the opportunities for those who favor dead bodies as sex "partners" ? Of course, the "transgendered" must be allowed, and given sex change operations at the military hospitals.
We need to change the "gays in the military" phrase to "perverts in the military". And force the 'Rats to champion the cause of ALL perversions. What logical reason do they have for NOT doing so ?
