Pennsylvania Rep. John Murtha was back in the hospital Tuesday after undergoing gall bladder surgery last week.
The Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington said that the 77-year-old Democrat was a patient in its intensive care unit but referred all questions about his condition to his family.
Murtha’s congressional office confirmed that he underwent scheduled laparoscopic surgery to remove his gallbladder at Bethesda Naval Hospital last week. But the congressman’s spokesman refused comment on the seriousness of his condition or any complication that required hospitalization.

Indeed, this doesn’t sound good. And I can’t fathom why the surgery was done laparascopically when the problem was an infection. Laparoscopic makes sense for uncomplicated gall bladder removal due to gallstones, but when there’s already an infection present that’s severe enough to be causing symptoms, it strikes me as a really, really unsafe approach.
Suffering from chronic head-up-the-ass syndrome no doubt.........

Aside from the just blazing and blindingly obvious horrors his own plan would visit upon him,
May he recover or rest in peace.
Even our horribly misguided and often knowingly evil opponents deserve to be judged by G-d, and I will try hard to not presume that position, and forgive.
Good luck, Mr. Murtha. Good thing you’re in a relatively Free Market healthcare system. You have reasonable probabilities, unlike under your plan.

Just re-watched Patton the other day. What a great scene when he tells the hospital surgeon to remove the self-inflicted wound guys, and doesn't take any flak from the doc. And, then orders the doc to always wear a helmet. When the doc says he won't be able to use a stethoscope, Patton tells him to drill two holes.
