Brown tells AP he'll sometimes side with Democrats

BOSTON Scott Brown says he has already told Senate Republican leaders they won't always be able to count on his vote. The man who staged an upset in last week's Massachusetts Senate special election, in part by pledging to be the 41st GOP vote against President Barack Obama's health care overhaul, told The Associated Press in an interview Thursday that he staked his claim in early conversations with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Minority Whip Jon Kyl.
"I already told them, you know, `I got here with the help of a close group of friends and very little help from anyone down there, so there'll be issues when I'll be with you and there are issues when I won't be with you,'" Brown said Thursday during the half-hour interview. "So, I just need to look at each vote and then make a proper analysis and then decide."

He hasn't even been seated yet, and the MSM is already using him as a wedge to split the GOP.
Let's let him have his moment, let's see what happens when he gets there, let's watch him learn the in's and out's of the Senate, and then let's see what attitude forms once he meets all the players and reality of the way things work sets in.

This could be interpreted two ways. One, he's declaring that he intends to be a RINO. Two, he's preparing them for his 'no' vote on lots of initiatives co-sponsored by John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Susan Collins...
Nothing wrong with mulling votes over issue by issue. That's what they should do. If he's a conservative, he'll vote the right way. I hope he'll be a reliably solid vote for conservatism.

“He is campaigning already for 2012.”
In the state of Massachusetts. Not expecting him to be very conservative. He’ll continue to portray himself as “independent.”

I’m not to that point yet because I still hope he can serve some use to us. It may be the best we can expect for a Liberal state.

Aw, that’s not so bad. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t had to eat that meal at some time in their lives. Just don’t drink the koolaid.

This is the AP.. If you can read lips and hear sound, you can see him saying he's for universal healthcare with his own mouth.
Prior to Obama, that was considered a litmus test of marxism.

I don’t find that offensive...the only one’s who do are right wing nuts. Currently there are few Democrat’s who make any sense....but that don’t rule out some in the future. FR folks tend to be less than bright when dealing with this issue...

Come on, folks, Romney was backing this guy.
Didn’t you realize that he supported abortion?
I agree that I would have voted for him over Coakley — but really not a conservative!
Who is laughing now?

It always sounds good. But it's a politician talking. Which means he likely sees things through the prism of what will get him re-elected.
Rarely, you get someone who sees things dead on and has principles to which they adhere.

I’m glad he won the seat and all but let’s face it, he’s from masatwoshuts.
This is the same state that elected Mitt “I want socialized medicine” Romney.
They might be considered conservatives in their home state but certainly nowhere else.

Methinks we should keep our powder dry and wait to see how the dude votes :)
