Unless things get too tough.
I throws her judgment into question.
If she either can't judge or doesn't care about the political compatibility of her associates, then her potential as POTUS is cast into doubt.
Supporting McCain would strongly fly in the face of her very popular "rogue" rhetoric. There is NOBODY more "Washington-DC-insider-politics-as-usual" than John McCain. That presents a big credibility problem.
The Democrats don’t have to worry much about divide and conquer, there are plenty of people here that will help them. Dang those Dems are smart.
I’m sitting here LMAO. First, DeMint presidentially speaking doesn’t have a sword to fall on. Second, I am shocked at how fickle and quick to turn many around here are. In Sarah Palin, conservatives have about as strong a voice and as hardened an advocate as they’re ever likely to have. That said I have never been a booster of her’s although I respect her chops. But now I’m sure I am closer to the possibility of supporting her without having moved any closer to her than many of her so called fans (you know the ones now stabbing her in the back). Unbelievable.
I disagree with you. I’m from Alaska and I have supported Palin even through some of her other decisions I did not agree with, such as throwing Ted Stevens under the bus for issues he’s been completely exonerated on, much like her frivolous law suits. I am very conservative and I believe she’s lost or losing her base by this one decision.
“when McCain chose her, she did not come out of nowhere, that is why she was so high in Intrade predictions. “
I don’t remember that..I think intrade betted on Romney for VP and nothing on Palin
Semantics. Elective office has nothing to do with it. Even as a private citizen, she wants to be taken seriously as a conservative leader and has generated a pretty impressive amount of support. Now she pulls a fast one and betrays the very conservatives that support her. She owes Captain Queeg nothing. I question her judgment. This decision will come back to haunt her. We’ve been disappointed before, and will be again.
Short answer - Yes, but ............!
She owed him one. Got to respect the fact that she repays her obligations.
It wasn’t McCain who treated her like crap, it was the people running his campaign. Find proof of one negative thing McCain has personally said about Palin.
Right. She endorses and man who catapulted her onto the national stage. It's called charater. Character is much more important than ideology. Good things naturally follow from correct character. Focusing solely on ideology however, uh, not so much.
Hell, you haven't even heard her endorsement yet - it could be tepid as hell. I hope you are shamed.
There is NOBODY more "Washington-DC-insider-politics-as-usual" than John McCain.
LOL - put it away! Say what you want about McCain. Say what you want about his politics. But one thing I know is there is nothing business-as-usual about the guy. There's a reason he's called the Maverick.
That presents a big credibility problem.
The only credibility problem I see is when y'all come running back to her next year. Everyone else, including Scott Brown, has already been eliminated. Either that or Duncan Hunter will be the nominee.
Has she gone over to the dark side? I hope not
I must have the wrong candidate. The one I am thinking of is a strict conservative who would use the state guard to close the borders and throw illegal immigrants out. My bad.

Palin siezes 2nd place in Intrade VP market!
As of today, Gov. Palin has stormed into second place in Intrade.com’s ranking of potential VP’s for John McCain. Right now, she is trading at $19.9 and rising, higher than every candidate except Mitt Romney (and his numbers are starting to drop).
Meanwhile, Jonah Goldberg has an article in today’s LA Times detailing the pros and cons of each potential VP pick. Palin is ranked as a “Medium risk” pick, and Goldberg says that she “could be a home run” (the only candidate he noted as having such potential). Unlike most of the other candidates, she also does not have any major groups listed in the column marked “Alienates”. The only listing is”Alaska’s kleptocracy” (and they NEED to be alienated).
In 2006 he couldn't hold his own district which was nominally GOP. His problem was Abramoff money, and his wife getting more than 20% of the money given to his PAC.
We had the same situation in my Congressional District, where John Doolittle (with virtually the same history as Hayworth) won in a distinctly conservative area, but barely.
Doolittle was literally forced out and replaced by Tom McClintock, who won by only a whisker in 2008 (It took 20 days for the recount). That is what happened in a very reliable, high percentage GOP CD, as a result of the “taint”.
And doggone it, after this weekend, I swore I was going to stay away from this argument.
jay bookman is a nasty, vicious liberal. he is one
of the reasons besides cynthia tucker and mike luckovich
that the atlanta paper has almost no audience.
You don’t do the OP (formerly GOP) any way.
With all the momentum that the GOP is building to stop Obama, now is the time for you to be pushing for your unnamed, third party agenda.
That third party that you will not name, but you do always push people to not vote for the OP (formerly the GOP).
