Consider the pre-election giveaway to the labor unions. Negotiators agreed to exempt union contracts until 2018 from the tax on so-called Cadillac health-insurance plans. That backroom bargain not only outraged the voters, it also violated the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution, requiring the federal government to extend equal protection of the laws to all U.S. persons. Of course, not all voters understood the constitutional nuances, but they sensed that something was very wrong; and they reacted.
I have been disturbed by the socialists for years, ever since I learned many members of Congress 'openly' joined the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America). Several years ago, the names were published on the DSA site. (since removed of course) Please post any info you have, many of you have been on this issue for many years, & if we can store it all on one thread, we have our FreeRepublic Warehouse on the enemies of the state. How DO we combat this, when it's coming at us from every angle? When the people have been asleep for decades. Please post anything you have found or accumulated. Also choose a dictator these people follow, of particular interest, those in D.C. who have been quoted with their adulation of one.

Labor launches full-court press on Altmire; targeting Arcuri and Lynch, too
By Michael O’Brien - 03/21/10 01:14 PM ET
A collection of labor groups wrote Rep. Jason Altmire (D-Pa.) on Sunday, urging him to reconsider his planned “no” vote on healthcare legislation.
Labor launched a full court press against Altmire, along with Reps. Michael Arcuri (D-N.Y.) and Stephen Lynch (D-N.Y.), ahead of an expectedly close evening vote on health reform legislation.
A coalition of labor groups, including the top leaders of the AFL-CIO and the SEIU, wrote Altmire on Sunday, urging him to flip to support Democrats’ healthcare bill.
The leaders wrote:
Congressman, we will not be able to explain to the members of our unions why you voted against this bill. The feeling of betrayal will be very deep and long-lasting. Our members support elected leaders who understand what it means to work hard to support a family in these tough times. Our members look for elected officials who have the courage to stand up to lies, distortions and political scare tactics. Your vote this Sunday will tell them what kind of elected official you are. Please do not disappoint them or us.
The full-court press on Altmire began on Sunday as members of the United Steelworkers union staged a sit-in on Altmire’s district office to protest his planned vote.
AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka and the union’s legislative director, Bill Samuel, are on the Hill on Sunday, where they will target Altmire, Arcuri, and Lynch. The pair will also serve as reinforcements against wavering members flipping against the bill at the last minute, according to the union’s spokesman.

Despite reports to the contrary, House Democratic leaders insisted Sunday that they do not yet have the support of anti-abortion-rights Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.), who has been leading a bloc of key holdouts on the bill.
MSNBC reported earlier that Stupak and others opposing the final health bill over the abortion language would vote in favor. But according to Brendan Daly, spokesman for Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), MSNBC is wrong.
We hope so, but it hasnt happened yet, he added.
So union thugs are welcome in the capitol, but common folk ain’t.
Now ain’t that a bytch?
Thug style intimidation. I pray they return the gesture and flip them off.
GOP lawmakers rally anti-health bill protesters on Capitol Hill
By Michael O’Brien and Jordan Fabian - 03/21/10 02:23 PM ET
Republican lawmakers took to the balcony on the Capitol’s south front to rally protesters against the healthcare bill.
GOP members unveiled a “Don’t Tread on Me” flag to a crowd one GOP lawmaker estimated numbered in the thousands.
The crowd, chanting, “kill the bill,” was met with thumbs up and some salutes by a rotating group of Republican congressmen.

YOUR story coming up after break!
Stupak is an idiot if he thinks an EO from BHO means anything.
He’s caving and he’ll get just what he didn’t want and live to regret it.
PARIS (AP) Pollsters say leftist parties are beating Sarkozy’s conservatives in French regional elections.
can’t find the quote now, but you and I aren’t the only ones believing that — political insiders are saying the same thing
pubbies are running the clock with points of order. Cool. make them work for it.
If any Democrat ever stuck to his word—especially with this kind of pressure—I don’t see how he could remain a Democrat without violating basic laws of physics.
Needs to be considered on its merits, not on bribes
