Consider the pre-election giveaway to the labor unions. Negotiators agreed to exempt union contracts until 2018 from the tax on so-called Cadillac health-insurance plans. That backroom bargain not only outraged the voters, it also violated the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution, requiring the federal government to extend equal protection of the laws to all U.S. persons. Of course, not all voters understood the constitutional nuances, but they sensed that something was very wrong; and they reacted.
I have been disturbed by the socialists for years, ever since I learned many members of Congress 'openly' joined the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America). Several years ago, the names were published on the DSA site. (since removed of course) Please post any info you have, many of you have been on this issue for many years, & if we can store it all on one thread, we have our FreeRepublic Warehouse on the enemies of the state. How DO we combat this, when it's coming at us from every angle? When the people have been asleep for decades. Please post anything you have found or accumulated. Also choose a dictator these people follow, of particular interest,those in D.C. who have been quoted with their adulation of one.

I can’t even think of a word that describes how I feel about this. THEY WANT TOTAL CONTROL OF OUR LIVES!!
Not only that, but they want POPULATION CONTROL! Abortion kills future citizens and the elderly that they *deem* have outlived their usefulness are offered *assisted suicide*.
Damn them all to hell. I’ve never typed anything like that before and if it offends someone....tough. I’m so upset I can’t think straight.
Thanks so much, JustPiper for all your doing. I’ve emailed quite a few of your links to try to get the TRUTH out there.
I pray the protests this weekend can turn this around.

Is it possible that in November when the Republicans have the House they could present a healthcare Bill that makes sense?
I have one update, but not confirmed:
Update 3-19, 7:52 PM: Whoa. Rep. DeFazio is dead serious about voting no, bragging about voting no on the stimulus and cap and trade when his demands werent met.
And since I dont think that Pelosi has a good way to fix Medicare reimbursement at this stage of the game, Im going to count him as voting no. The no side now has 217 votes.
UPDATE on Post #1242
The 5 DEMS THAT WILL DETERMINE OBAMACARE!!!
1. Lincoln Davis (Tenn) -- Went from "no" to undecided. But the Governor of Tennessee is putting the heat on him to vote no.
2. Jason Altmire (PA) --UPDATE: Will oppose bill (see post #1239). Has publicly criticized the Slaughter rule and voted no in committee and on floor on the original bill.
3. Pete Defazio (NY) -- UPDATE: an unconfirmed NO
Announced today that he's voting against. DeFazio also voted agasint the stimulus bill.
4. Glenn Nye (VA) -- Nye voted no in on the first bill. He is also in a conservative district that includes Virginia Beach and Norfolk (basically the Eastern Shore). Nye is also in a tough re-election race.
5. Suzanne Kosmos (Fla)-- UPDATE: She announced "YES"
She's getting hammered. She's a freshman from New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and she eeked out a victory in a conservative district that McCain carried over Obama in 2008. Her job in on the line.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Update 3-19, 8:35 PM: McNerney is leaning yes. Ill take him off my undecided list. I had hopes for him based on his vote yesterday against deem and pass.
Update 3-19, 8:25 PM: More on Stupaks proposal and how it would work (and why it wont).
PICKLEPUSS!
Stupak’s new proposal might work to defeat the Bill.
This man has amazing courage, to go up against the Machine.
re: Teague
“(D)espite the positive steps it takes, I must vote against this bill.”
But some measures Teague was viewed as a lean no, by others undecided. The road to victory for Pelosi without an abortion deal is narrowing. The liberal FiredogLake.com now says Pelosi may have to run the table to win without the Stu-pack.
Just got word from Darla that there has been a change
of Venues for the Healthcare Rally tomorrow.
It has been changed from Upper Senate Park to the West Lawn
of the Capital - This is the same place where the 9/12 March was held..
time is still 12 noon....
Teague a No, Pelosi Would Have to Run the Table Without Stupak Bloc
By: David Dayen Friday March 19, 2010 6:58 pm
Well certainly know in the morning, but Nancy Pelosi is fast running out of options without members of the ubiquitous Stupak bloc.
Harry Teague, one of the few remaining undecided votes, will vote No again as he did in November, blaming cost controls.
If you look at the numbers below, you understand why this is consequential. Teague puts the definite No votes at 210, with five leaners, four of them part of the Stupak bloc.
There are only 8 undecideds left, and 208 Yes votes with leaners. So Pelosi would have to get all 8, including Stupak bloc member Kathy Dahlkemper, and hold Marcy Kaptur (who probably shouldnt be a lean Yes).
Failing that, she could try to flip Glenn Nye, or go to one of her committee chairs voting No (Ike Skelton, Collin Peterson) and ask them to walk the plank.
But thats a very tough road. And so Pelosi is talking to Bart Stupak. Because there doesnt look to be another option for passage. That may result in an annual standalone vote on choice in the exchange. It may result in some tie-bar legislation (although that is procedurally unlikely). But its almost certainly going to result in something.
Missed this in my previous post. Liberal website FireDogLake talking about Nye as if he is a committed "NO."
ROTFLOL!!
That woman has had so much botox and plastic surgery, she is bound to be ‘dishwasher safe’ by now.....lol.
Don't know what to make of this: Post time is 7:30pm but it just appeared. This is from a liberal website.
Stupak Abortion Language to Be Substituted for Senate Language in Deal to Secure Health Care Votes
By: Jane Hamsher Friday March 19, 2010 7:30 pm
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has made a deal with Rep. Bart Stupak in order to secure his vote and that of other anti-choice Democrats for the health care bill, which is scheduled to be voted on this Sunday. According to a member of Congress who was briefed on the matter, Pelosi has agreed to let Stupak have a vote on his amendment either before or after the House votes to pass the Senate bill. It instructs the Senate to substitute the language in his amendment for the Senate language on abortion.
Thanks for what you’re doing. I’ll be here Sunday.
