A former Bethlehem middle school teacher whose nature program for seventh-graders won national acclaim apparently killed himself Thursday about an hour before he was scheduled to plead guilty to sexually assaulting a teenage boy, a charge that shocked the community and cost him his career.
Gregory G. Ritter, 45, a longtime Boy Scout volunteer and 20-year National Guardsman, was found dead next to a picnic table at the apartment complex in the Poconos where he recently moved, according to police, who said he had a gunshot wound to the head.

Careful not to project your sins onto everyone else. Just because you continue to sin doesn't mean everyone else does.
How can they be saved and mentally ill? So God cures all but the mentally ill? And how do you know that they're saved? No doubt we have a different view of what saved encompasses.
Do you also subscribe to the notion that this Ritter pedophile was forgiven by God for his 'actions' of mental illness and that because he was mentally ill, he committed suicide, which means he's not really responsible for his actions after all because he was mentally ill, therefore he will not be going to hell but to heaven as the 'New Zealander' seems to suggest.

There is no further value in this discussion, IMO. It is tiresome and pointless, and I have neither the time nor the patience to continue it. Include me out.
Thank You, you made your points a while back and they were piss poor ones needless to say. Cheers!
Congratulations, you have just earned a coveted spot on the Plonker List.
Well golly gee thanks, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
I don't. I won't blame the sufferer for their mental illness any more than I would blame someone who had cancer, MS, or Parkinson's disease. I don't blame the people who are struck by lighting or die in an auto accident either.
Are all healthy people blameless? Then don't try to pretend that everyone who is ill is under the wrath of God. Job was a man who worshipped God so faithfully that God bragged about him. He lost everything he had and was reduced to sitting in ashes scraping his sores with a broken piece of pottery. Was God punishing him? No. God tested him.
You stated that "mental illness is only caused by sin" which is where I strongly object. Every sin seperates us from God. We are all under indictment and all deserve punishment for our sins. To claim that all people who suffer in a specific way is a result of their specific sins is arrogance.
There are a lot more perverts out there. They are a bigger threat than a false accusation.
How can they be saved and mentally ill? So God cures all but the mentally ill?
This is where your logic is ...should I use the word?...insane.
You assume that people cannot be within God’s will if they are mentally ill. You assume that mentally ill people are always mentally ill and without access to sane thinking. You assume that God cures all people...when at times the decison God makes is to continue the illness.
These are tragic flaws of thought.
There are a lot more perverts out there. They are a bigger threat than a false accusation.
There are a number of perverts out there, and a number of lying boys and girls who take advantage of the system.
