A former Bethlehem middle school teacher whose nature program for seventh-graders won national acclaim apparently killed himself Thursday about an hour before he was scheduled to plead guilty to sexually assaulting a teenage boy, a charge that shocked the community and cost him his career.
Gregory G. Ritter, 45, a longtime Boy Scout volunteer and 20-year National Guardsman, was found dead next to a picnic table at the apartment complex in the Poconos where he recently moved, according to police, who said he had a gunshot wound to the head.

Say, you speak pretty good English for a Mexican. How long have you lived in the United States, and where did you sneak across the border?
My, what a wonderful way to start my day. I've been elevated in stature in something, anyways. I'm sure you know my type. I know yours, too. You're like talking to any other air-headed windbag. Surely you're not anyone to belittle another child of God and make long paragraphs with run-on sentences?
"Say Good night, Gracie"
I wonder if I can get free advertising, too?
He soooo violated the rules of Safe Scouting and Youth Protection..
Child of God? You're right, I wouldn't, but a true child of God you definitely ain't, you seem to be more in league with the other guy, the one with horns.
Well there you go again with the stupid, corny graphics, thank God this is your last post, (pls don’t renege on that), your posts are going from the sublime to the ridiculous.
You must be one helluva sinner then, because that post of yours is batshit crazy.
> He soooo violated the rules of Safe Scouting and Youth Protection..
...to say nothing of commonsense. It’s sad because life wasn’t always like this. Once upon a time not long ago it was much simpler.
Oh gee, another expert, so tell me what evidence do you have that people are born with a mental illness?
“... what evidence do you have that people are born with a mental illness?”
The causes of mental illnesses are unclear although genetic predispositions to various psychoses do occur. A predisposition to some mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, can run in families. Children can be born with disabilities such as autism and I defy you to see the sin in a one-year old.
Let’s just throw away everything we learned about body and brain chemistry.
That’s the ticket.
There are too many people out there now who blame themselves for a mental illness which in many cases can be ameliorated by medical treatment.
Seriously.
I’ve met some real jackasses on the internet in my day, but this guy really takes the cake.
Dude, what are you smoking? Even Petronski is looking and scratching his head.
I guess I lied, but you made me pee my pants laughing. Your tirades get more insane with time. You make such an easy target, though. It's quite simple to get that free rent in your mind.
You've got yourself convinced your's is the best judgement, and you know about every soul. You make it clear that you consider yourself holy.
Holy cow, maybe!
I'll be taking a nap now. Your brain is easy to spend time laying around. There's not enough activity to keep me awake.
Free rent. Thanks.

“Actually most Cancers are caused by Sin.”
Tell us about neuroblastoma in infants.
Small cell lung cancer in non-smokers?
What’s the etiology of pancreatic cancer? Prostate? Those two have the virtue of aging behind them. And being male!
How about osteosarcoma in teens?
FOAD
Aging is not a factor in those cancers mentioned, living wrongly, bad diet, bad attitude, bad reactions to stress, in otherwords living selfishly (sinfully) instead of living life the way God intended contribute to cancers of the body. As for babies and teens with Cancer, haven’t heard too much about them, would need more info on it. What do you think causes Cancers of the body if not Sin?
The truth is: you are an idiot.
Nope, never claimed mine was the best judgment nor that I know about every soul. But it's easy to see through some folks by what they post and I saw through your phoniness a while back on another thread, and you haven't changed, a tad arrogant you are yes indeedy.
Never encountered the likes of the New Zealander before, but he seems to have a soft spot for pedophiles who commit suicide.
