March for Life, Roe vs. Wade Rally Disrupting Traffic in DC
Huliq.com ^ | 1/22/2010 | Amy Munday

The annual event to march in Washington DC as a pro-choice or pro-life participant is happening today. With streets around the National Mall closed, parking restrictions, as well as fourteen bus lines being rerouted and the slowing of commuter trains from Maryland, traffic Disruption in Washington DC is a big concern today.

The National Organization for Women, Choice USA and NARAL Pro-Choice America are gathering at noon at the Supreme Court, 1st Street NE between Maryland Ave and East Capitol in Washington DC as well. The Supreme Court decision Roe vs. Wade decided in 1973 to make abortion legal in the United States, thus prompting these organizations and the annual January 22nd rally. Abortion and a women's right to choose or not has been at the forefront of political conflict ever since.

For the March for Life rally, Washington Post states: "At about 11:30 a.m., many of the rally participants will march to the Mall from an event at the Verizon Center. This will require temporary closures along 7th Street NW from F Street to Madison Drive. The main rally is scheduled for noon on the Mall at 7th Street NW. At about 2:15 p.m., participants will march to the Supreme Court. The route will take them north on 4th Street NW to Pennsylvania Avenue, then east to Constitution Avenue and up Capitol Hill to the intersection of 1st Street NE and East Capitol Street. Police will temporarily close the route and cross streets to vehicles during the march."

March for Life is also going virtual this year. Visit their website to find out how. Getting to these places in person might be a problem, but for the residents attempting to simply get around, they've got another thing coming.

You know, the leftits are pulling out all the stops in their attempts to socialize this country, maybe our SCOTUS needs to pull out all stops in terms of overriding some of the greatest iniquities from the last century while we have the personnel to do it. We may not have a majority again for a long time.

Agreed.

Bret Baier (”from Washington”!) at 6:17 PM EST: Still nothing on the 300,000 marching for the unborn in Washington today. The silence is deafening.

I guess when you really understand what is going on with the slaughter of the unborn and the lies perpetuated in the name of “women’s health”, it’s hard to understand how people can ignore the hundreds of thousands who traveled from far and wide to give a voice to the voiceless.

Yes, you’re right. He has about 10 minutes until the paenl starts. I watch FNC all evening, except for Shepard Smith, but I will watch his news cast tonight to see if he finds time to cover the MARCH FOR LIFE.

Over 300,000 came together to speak for the most innocent of all and yet, not a mention. Dear Lord, hear our prayer.

“The annual event to march in Washington DC as a pro-choice or pro-life participant is happening today.”

Bwa-ha-ha!!

You gotta be kiddin’ me!!

“...as a pro-choice or pro-life participant...”???

ROTFLMAO!!

I saw HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of PRO-LIFE PERSONS today at the March for LIFE and...

...TWO pro-deathers.

Do I detect a little bias??

Just a little bit of bias! 300,000 vs. a handful—that’s about equal for the MSM.

the MSM will say a 'few hundred anti-choice/anti-women's reproductive rights protesters' showed up in DC today. ?

Unfortunately, it may not be covered at all.

YES! Mike Pence is one politican I really like and also Michelle Bachmann. I am happy, happy now and very appreciative for FNC’s coverage. God bless everyone who marched and participated everywhere else and everyone who prayed and attended in spirit. I want to make a concerted effort to try to participate by marching next year, particularly if we take back the House.

I don’t know why the prochoicers would show up. Their battle is won, they got what they wanted.
