Sen. John McCain (R) has known from an early stage that he could face a tough primary in his bid for re-election this year, and acted on it. He already launched radio ads touting his effort to block President Obama's "extreme left wing crusade." And just this week, Sen.-elect Scott Brown (R) recorded robocalls that went out to voters in Arizona.
Now, a Rasmussen poll (502 LVs, 1/20, MoE +/- 4.5%) shows the Maverick just over 50 percent in a potential matchup against former Rep. JD Hayworth -- not the best position for an incumbent to be, but an improvement over the dead heat Rasmussen found in November.
Primary Election Matchup
McCain 53 (+8 vs. last poll, 11/18)
Hayworth 31 (-12)
Simcox 4 (unch)
Und 8 (+1)

Sarah, do not do this ! Find a escape and forget about Jaun the rhino. We conservatives have went through hell this past year and we have just begun to to get on our feet and NONE OF US will support Jaun and if you continue to support him then (inasmuch as we love you) we will be forced to drop you too. I supported and donated to you because I believed in you and what you were saying but I had to hold my nose when I voted for the RHINO and it will never happen again. He needs to retire from politics and you need to do something other than help him waste the people’s money. This is not his time, we need fresh ideas and new faces, not someone like Jaun that we cannot trust at all.
so because she was used to help McCain in the election she should now help him"
I believe that the majority of potential Repub/Conserv/Ind voters think that she does owe McCain. If she were to refuse to support him, that would be seen as a big breach of loyalty, and hurt her seriously.
I mean running against him in the primary in AZ...
McCain is a major target of the Tea-Party, and Palin won't have any effect in stemming the tide against McCain.
She doesn't have to get involved in a primary.
She could support him in the General election.
I'm sorry. I was out for an evening in Old Town Alexandria.
But J.D.'s entry into the race is excellent news.
The Truth File is going to roar into action beginning this morning.
May God save the Republic.
J.D. HAYWORTH '10
Sorely, sorely disappointed in Palin.
I understand her reasons but she could make a significant statement to the conservative base by standing true to conservative principles, which are not embodied by McQueeg.
If you lived in Arizona you would know this has nothing at all to do with Sarah........ McCain has been running ads against JD on radio all over the state as well as robo-calling from people like Scott Brown -— JD has had his hands tied and unable to respond because he cannot do so until he officially jumps into the race. I don’t know anyone planning to vote for McCain, Sarah Palin or NO Sarah Palin...
JD quit his radio show yesterday and plans to announce.. McCain has been running ads against him for weeks now and sending out robo-calls as well.. the race is just getting started and McCain is not liked in much of the state.
You're weird.
Yeah, I've seen that particular "FReeper refrain" used in several places before with many other posters, too... LOL.. It goes like this...
So, you don't agree with me?! You're weird!
LOL... FReepers are wonderful, doncha know... :-)
What part of supporting a conservative candidate is too hard for you to understand?
Oh..., I support Sarah Palin 100% in what she's doing and what she's going to be doing for conservatives everywhere... in the coming years. :-)
But Im talking about the primaries Star...this is where we need to deliver our disciplined conservative message...
That's fine and dandy... but I don't vote in those primaries, but I do support Sarah Palin in what she is doing.
AND..., if it came to a point where I was to vote for McCain (and Palin) again, if they were running up against another Obama-type, I would be voting for McCain once again, too...
So, where I vote, I'll vote for McCain (and I did and would do so once again, if necessary)... and where I don't vote, I'll support Sarah Palin in what she is directly doing, as she has said...
I support conservatism - and all those who stand for it and never comprise it. Using your previous posts as a barometer, it is something you can't relate to.
Apparently our illustrious leader doesn't relate to some of your sentiments regarding Sarah Palin... LOL...
Go Sarah!! Damn the naysaying nabobs of negativity!! Full steam ahead!!
STOP reading into my posts and twisting them for YOUR OWN AGENDA. Your ignored what I wrote about your love for BHO and his hidden records.
STOP reading into my posts and twisting them for YOUR OWN AGENDA. Your ignored what I wrote about your love for BHO and his hidden records.
I do tend to ignore what other people hallucinate about.... It's sorta unseemly to dwell on their hallucinations... LOL...
You’re right, of course. I’ve been saying this same thing and watching people go apoplectic here. Amazes me.
Sarah, you have a huge Wave of support. Don’t throw it away for that RINO.
As long as you keep invading Scott Brown threads to trash him, I'll be in YOUR face!
