Since Republican Scott Brown won the special election Jan 19 to fill Massachusetts' U.S. Senate seat vacated after the death of Ted Kennedy, President Barack Obama and high-level White House staffers David Axelrod and Robert Gibbs have been on the media circuit in damage control mode.
But according to "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace, efforts to spin this in a positive way are futile. Wallace appeared on the Fox Business Network's Jan. 21 "Imus in the Morning" program to explain their efforts to alter the news coverage to a favorable tone in the wake of this news is not the proper course of action.
"I think it means a big deal and I have to laugh, you know, somebody was saying yesterday, there's some events that are just un-spinable," Wallace said. "They're just too big, too dramatic, too obvious - you can't spin them and yet the White House clearly is trying to spin this."

SPIN THIS COMMENT! The Scott Brown effect!
This was in a Q & A before the election. If all Republican's had the Gonads that Scott has then we would be a safer nation. You have to love his direct comments. PC police go to hell! Scott may have woken America up.
Q: The United States was fortunate to have been spared in the attempted attack aboard a Detroit-bound plane. How should the US tighten air security' Is there anything that should or should not be borrowed from Israel's methods, which, while effective, have been criticized for involving profiling'
A: Let me just backtrack and add another wrinkle to that. I do not believe that these people should be treated as ordinary criminals. They should be treated as enemy combatants. We're in a war. Clearly there was a tie to Al Qaeda. [The Detroit suspect] should never have been lawyered up at taxpayer expense. He should immediately be treated as an enemy combatant and transferred down to Gitmo or some other facility, and interrogated under the laws of the United States and the Geneva Convention and all the laws of war, first of all. So there's a mistake that Martha Coakley is making by providing constitutional rights to enemy combatants and opening up a whole new level of rights that they're not entitled to at taxpayer expense. ... I would rather spend more time keeping our people safe and then maybe infringing on our liberties a little bit at a time when in fact there are some very serious threats upon us.

People in the White House just do not get it or they think everyone in this country are absolute idiots. Some Professors actually have a similar W.H. mindset.

They must have an interesting thanksgiving at their house.
I’ve always felt the father a little arrogant, while I didn’t get that feeling from Chris. Sort of typical.
I’ve always noticed libs tend to be strident.

Several good points from Mr. Wallace. I love him on FNS.
.........so a lot of anger now is, you know, people see Barack Obama as part of the problem, no longer as part of the solution. So, I don't think the anger and frustration argument is going to cut it."

First thing I would do if put in charge at Fox, would be to replace Chris Wallace. OK so he gets it right once in a while, but that`s it! The guy should be replaced! The bias this guy shows week after week is unbelievable, clearly a Democrat. I have no problem that the guy is a Democrat, if he was actually a straight shooter.
Democrat, Straight shooter is a oxymoron.

You must watch a different FNS than I do. He asks pretty tough questions of both sides.
