Irony hit the jackpot as Cindy McCain, wife of Senator John McCain, posed for the NOH8 campaign, reports the Advocate.
As the mother to vocal marriage equality advocate, Meghan McCain, we are surprised at such unanticipated support. Is this the Cindy we all knew to be that staunch republican with a narrow outlook on equality? On a positive aspect, it could be true that not all republicans are anti-gay marriage.
According the NOH8's website, Cindy McCain wanted to participate in the campaign to show people that party doesn't matter and that marriage equality isn't a Republican issue any more than it is a Democratic issue.

my thoughts too
no where doe sit state that two of the same sex can be married, it just doesn’t state that, as said before, eery argument for them to marry can and will be used for other kinds of marriage.
If anyone doesn’;t have a problem for two of the same sex getting married then they should not have a problem for the LDS church t have their kind of marriage or muslims to have theirs
Nor do I.
my thoughts too
her daughter was crying how she could not get a man after the election.
She then spent time with a woman homo and then comes out for homos
Now the mother does.
This is mother making waves for her daughter to now say she is mentally a sick pervert who cannot get a real man so she needs a woman to wear a strap on and pretend there is a man
The rationale for allowing gay marriage requires also allowing polygamous and incestuous unions as well.
I agree.
They have all their constitutional rights.
So shut the hell up and contribute to society unstead of causing trouble.
Do you really think gay marriage will end them wantonly making out with anyone they find on the street? We have heterosexual members of congress and a former President who did it all the time.
If Cindy and Meghan are going to push gay marriage, then it is time for her husband to suffer the consequences in the Arizona Republican primary. Time for J.D. Hayworth to set up and end his political career.
“...A gay man has the right to marry either a straight/gay woman any time he wants just as gay woman can marry gay/straight man anytime she wants. THAT is equal protection under the law. Being able to marry a house cat is a new thing, just as man/man or woman/woman marriage is a new thing. That is the argument. Additionally, if gay marriage is OK, so is plural marriages of any configuration...”
The above is a good economy-of-words argument against faggot marriage.
Thanks for the tip.
2. After his defeat, John McCain has learned his lessons: bipartisanship is dangerous in the Era Of Obama. Hes been consistently conservative last year. In 2009, McCain didnt give us any trouble, right?
LOL-Of course he's conservative-its an election year!
3. Palin coming to Arkansas is not necessarily for McCain. The occassion is actually a fundraising ceremony for ARs GOP to support all R/C in AR.
What??? Arkansas? She's going to Arizona. Palin is scheduled to attend a private fundraising event that evening. The next day, she and McCain will appear together at a public event, likely a rally, according to McCain spokeswoman Brooke Buchanan.
6.But in 21st Century, I don think I should impose my values onto others.
Forcing a change of the definition of marriage on others IS imposing values on others.
I guess it really is best in some ways that 0bama won. At least 0bama is making it crystal clear where a non-conservative government leads to.
It’s not just Christian, it’s Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist, Jain, Parsee, and even Muslim.
And it’s nature’s law.
Homosexual acts violate nature’s laws and should not be given any special favors or legal protection.
Two men or two women engaging in mutual sexual acts of gratification is not, never was, and never will be in any way equivalent to the marriage of a man and a woman.
You can call a dog a frog but that doesn’t make it one.
Mom had no choice... the daughter is NOT attractive to men, and won’t be bringing home “someone special” to meet the folks... unless it’s a lesbian. Mom is between a rock and a hard place.
Small correction:
McCain is a Senator from Arizona not Arkansas....
Cindy is a spoiled little rich girl by birth. Her father being a mega beer distributor.
Nothing wrong with that.
But the probability of establishment Republicans to be liberal on social issues and be accepted at the Chardonnay and Pate parties is very hard to overcome.
They are indoctinated, if not at liberal elite universities, then in their social/peer groups.
It’s just another “gulf of divide” between the establishment and the average American.
Note: that gay marriage has come up, I believe, 13 times and has been voted down each time. This issue is a winner for conservatives and Republicans...despite the propaganda put out by Cindy, Hollywood, academia, and “human rights” groups.
Even Islam by tenet forbids homosexual acts. Of course, such perversion is rampant in the world of Islam but it is forbidden in the Koran.
I agree that the entire “gay” agenda - not just marriage - is a broadside attack against the freedom of religious expression, freedom of speech and freedom of association.
They want to change (iow “ruin”) society. They’ve said as much, very clearly.
