As Sen. John McCain readies for a potential primary challenge from the right this fall, the Arizona Republican is playing his trump card.
Sarah Palin, McCain's former running mate and perhaps the most powerful brand in Republican politics, will stump for McCain in Arizona on March 26 and 27, a Palin adviser told CNN. The presence of Palin - and the considerable crowds and media attention she will draw - might give pause to J.D. Hayworth, the former Republican congressman and radio host who opposes McCain's position on illegal immigration and is mulling a Senate run of his own.

Yeah. She needs to campaign for Linday Graham-nesty, Charlie Crist and maybe Arlen Specter.
Scott Brown for President.
“J.D. Hayworth, the former Republican congressman and radio host who opposes McCain’s position on illegal immigration and is mulling a Senate run of his own.”
So Sarah then supports illegal immigration that is bankrupting CA, AZ, FL and the United States. Nice.
Maybe Alaska can take 1 million Haitians.
I hope she is getting something out of this in return somehow. Did she ever pay off her campaign debts from
running with him?
Well Alaska does have TWO sanctuary cities.
Maybe they’ll be welcome.
“Yeah, I hear ya..if I were her, I would have just not gotten involved in this race. I understand why shes doing it but I still dont like it.”
I think it’s her character to return the favor of being brought up to the bigs...the McQueeg staff screwed with her and granted he was no big help, but geez, this is what I like about her...she KNEW she was going to take a hit for this but did what she thought was the right thing...I don’t want another pol who only acts in her own best interests...I think this is who she is...
If true, I completely agree with you.
Anybody owes anybody anything 'round here it's McCain. He owes Sarah Palin an apology for not backing her up. His ridiculous campaign is an awful legacy ... even for a stupid old man ... to leave behind.
Best thing he could do for Arizona is get the hell out of the way before the entire Southwest is overrun with Mexicans
“The upside is that this puts that little butt-plug Steve Schmitt out in the cold.”
A good point.
Very huge mistake. Does Sarah read FR? If so, Sarah, please listen to us. There is no upside to this - none.
I agree. I knew this day would come. I knew she would support McCain for re-election. I saw the writing on the wall because she has never said one bad thing about him so I knew it was coming. She will lose some support over this, but you know what..so be it..how about the people of Arizona just throw McCain out already so that it won’t matter who she endorses. When Glenn was interviewing her and he called McCain a progressive, she didn’t deny it, she basically agreed with him but said that he is changing(I don’t believe McCain will ever change, that would be like thinking Obama will change his stripes) we’ll see what happens. Two out of three ain’t bad. I am thrilled that she will be campaigning for Bachmann, I absolutely adore her. She is wonderful!
Dear Sarah,
WTFU.
Sincerely,
panax-an-ax
Sorry, bit it’s already over-run.
Sorry, bit it’s already over-run.
Beck pressed her pretty hard on this issue, told her bluntly, McCain was a progressive. She defended McCains recent standup position, and he told her it is a temporary position, he would revert back to the Progressive agenda as soon as it was safe.
“I understand loyalty but I dont think Sarah understands how much McCain is hated throughout the country”
But WHY? Why doesn’t she know. How can she be so politically tone deaf to not understand this country wants nothing to do with the policies (amnesty, etc) that McCain pushes?
If she’s on McCain’s side, she’s not on the side of the USA public. If she doesn’t know that, she’s not the savior we would all like her to be.
Distancing herself from McCain, who let's face it gave her the name recognition which she enjoys outside of places like FR who already knew about her, would be as big a mistake as supporting her.
Think about Gore dissing Lieberman in 2004. Didn't go over so well.
What type of person would she be if now she threw McCain under the bus? Has McCain changed? Those of you mad that she would stump for McCain should already be mad since she agreed to be his running mate.
Give her a break. The perfect church doesn't exist and the perfect candidate doesn't either. Stop looking for perfection and choose from the best available.
Sarah Palin & Scott Brown are two very good ones.
After all is said and done, you are right. But the bottom line; without him, you wouldn't know who she is. That's all I'm saying. I think she is not the type to forget that and that is what I admire about her. No one says she has to do any more than he did for her; show up, wave, get out of town. Duty discharged. Sarah is the real deal...she isn't stupid and she isn't misguided; she thinks this is the right thing to do. And I am with her...I think the pundit thing is a mistake, but she is doing that, too...I don't know why, but she keeps proving me wrong...I guess it just comes down to having faith in the character of the person and I would trust her with my life...which is a hell of a lot more than I can say about anyone else out there right now.
She’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. If I were her I would have SO had nothing to do with this race. Let the people of Arizona decide. As far as her not being the savior..who said she was a savior..she’s a person, she makes mistakes. She is not perfect. No one is a savior but God himself. Don’t put people on pedestals, no one is perfect
“I agree. I knew this day would come. “
