“Armed hunters” Seems kinda redundant, don’t ya think? As an “Armed” hunter in West Texas not to far from Amarillo, may I just say: BWAWAWA!
I’ll spread the word. We should be hunting unarmed.
Yes, that is a good point, after I took a walk and had a couple more cups of coffee to calm down on, I thought, well, it was a good opportunity to test the responses in case the Red Dawn hunters breached the fence and tried to make off with national secrets.
They weren't "Amish" were they?
Pheasant season is over. From TPWD:
Open season: December 5, 2009-January 3, 2010. Bag Limit: three cocks. Possession limit: six cocks.
However, Quail is still in season:
tatewide: Open season: October 31, 2009-February 28, 2010. Daily bag limit: 15 Possession limit: 45
Love it! LOL!
Maybe no one bothered to tell the local illegal Mexicans that.......roflmao
Hey, thanks for the shout-out!
Funny how a couple of guys carrying guns cause a minor panic while guys in turbans can’t be questioned for fear of discrimminatory profiling.
If these hunters are detained, I hope they start screaming about how they were profiled!
I always wonder if events like this are “dry run” tests of how we will react if...
Or, if someone is trying to lower facility sensitivity to armed men by posing as hunters.
The plant’s reaction is reassuring to me. I hope they stay hypersensitive.
You suppose it might be difficult to tell an Illegal Mexican from an an Illegal (or legal) Arab from a distance?
Yup,,,them guys all look alike to me. heh heh....
I believe there is a buffer zone of private posted land surrounding the plant. The hunters must be unfamiliar with the area.

Two off duty employees were hunting geese TWO MILES SOUTH OF THE PLANT.
With all that is out in that area, just how the hell would the plant know if anyone was hunting TWO MILES away? And if so, how can that be construed to be a security breach? This whole thing reeks.
My buddy in Cowboy Action Shooting uses the alias
Captain Cletus Justice
(originally, the son of Jackie Gleason in Smokey and the Bandit).......
then there is Cletus Spukler from the Simpsons....
Two miles of buffer? I guess they are they worried about rockets or artillery.
or was Cletus the Jerry Reed character?? I forget?
Were you hunting elephants again?
I’m not in the states right now.....that’s my story an I am sticking to it......
It's true, I saw him on TV unloading a Slurpee machine from a C-130 in Port Au Prince.
