The Sierra Vista Herald reported over the weekend that AZ State Senator Jonathan Paton has thrown his hat in the ring to run against Gabby Giffords for the AZ CD-8 seat. That puts 4 people in the running in the Republican Primary for that seat.
Paton is from the Tucson area and is an Army reservist with at least one tour in SouthWest Asia.
Hippy - does Brian Miller have military experience? It seems to me that he does, but I don’t remember everything from the Tea Party Rally I attended here in Sierra Vista last summer...
Brian Miller is a Major and senior pilot in the United States Air Force Reserve, 45th Fighter Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

Heard J.D. on KYFI (Barry Young’s show) yesterday say that he’ll probably have an announcement in 30 days!
Lawyers have prevented him from talking about McCain on his own show...which is why he went on Barry’s show!
Reading between the lines, I get the feeling he’s going to run!!
One comment he had was priceless in reference to McCain. I’m paraphrasing...*you can’t just be a senator FROM Arizona, you have to be a senator FOR Arizona.*
We HAVE TO *retire* McCain!!! For the good of the country and so we can have a senator FOR ARIZONA!!
