possible terror attack??

Of course! It’s called Screw the Jew!..............
it’s Harretz, which as far as I’m concerned is mullet wrapper . . . about the equivalent of the NY Times
I have no doubt that it is a retaliatory act, probably contracted out to Hezbollah or Islamic Jihad by the Iranians
Israel’s ambassador to Jordan and at least two other Israeli diplomats were in the convoy.
Sounds like a failed Hezbollah attack. Reports are saying now that nobody was hurt but that might change. Even if it turns out that nobody was hurt, an attempted attack on Israeli diplomats alone will be viwed very very seriously in Tel Aviv and if this indeed turns out to be Hezbollah directed then I would be amazed if there wasn’t an Israeli response against the Lebanese group.
There appears to be quiet a covert war going on . . . and if Israel pinpoints who was behind this attack I would imagine that entity would soon be on the receiving end of a Israeli/Mossad hit.
+1
wasn’t there a hit on an Israeli politician/diplomat inside of Israel a few years back?
Haaretz now saying the ambassador was not in the convoy, so conflicting information there. The fact that this happened in Jordan might indicate a Palestinian group but it also seems like the kind of target Hezbollah would be after...hard to know.
as is always the case, details are sketchy at first
Ynet reporting it was a roadside bomb detonated near the Israel-Jordan border crossing. It appears the Israeli diplomats car continued on to Amman

Now seems like there were multiple explosive devices, at least two explosions. Looks like it could have been a lot worse.
Only earlier today I was reading that Turkey was warning Lebanon that Israel was planning to attack targets inside Lebanon this spring. Interesting times.
FYI ping
This is the home country of the Jordanian/Palestinian, Abu-Mulal al-Balawi, who the CIA trusted in Afghanistan, and who blew them up.

Given Israel’s history and the preceived hard-line that current PM Bibi Netanyahu tows, I don’t see how Israel doesn’t respond - whether or not the diplomats were injured/killed. I think the mere fact they (whoever “they” is) attempted to pull this off will result in some type of Israeli covert/overt retaliation
Just over-inflated truck/bus tires blowing up!
Haaretz now reporting that the explosions actually flipped the cars over, but still reporting no injuries.
Jordan saying the target was “a top Israeli diplomat”.
wow - flipped the car over and nobody was injured. sounds like the big guy upstairs was watching over them
so much for the report that the cars continued on to Amman
wonder what the official Israeli govt response is going to look like
Looks like they arrested someone. I imagine we will find out this guy has ties to either Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Iran or Syria.
