Anywhere there’s human misery — after 9/11, after Katrina, even after Ariel Sharon’s stroke — Reverend Pat will be there to explain to the victims why they deserved it. (And he’s not the only one.) He’s taking a beating on Twitter right now for having said this, including/especially from Christians who don’t want to see the faith smeared by his latest Old Testament thunderbolt theory. No worries there: Other Christian leaders, starting with the Pope and Franklin Graham, are taking a more New Testament view. But even conceding that he doesn’t speak for most Christians, he does still command a sizable following, no? Even after years of barfing up stuff like this.

I can’t educate you beyond what Wiky says, and who knows about that accuracy. I don’t know if the pact ever occurred, although I think it did.
My point was that the circumstantial evidence, poorest, most corrupt country, half the population immersed in devil worship certainly points to the power of Satan in their lives
Toss in the Dominican Republic as comparison and it simply strengthens the evidence.
Then, add in America, whose Founding Fathers believed in God, and included references to our Creator in the Founding Documents as a country who ‘made a pact with GOd’ as compared to Satan................well it should speak for itself.
I’m not aware of any such allegations, or evidence of such.
You still don’t get it and your post only proves my point as you dig your hole deeper. I know many sons and daughters of ministers who are some of the most appalling judgmental and Phariseeical Christians I have ever met. A true believer never compares himself/herself to others but just goes out and does the best they can to make a difference with what they have and giving their all. Bragging about how lowly, poor and selfless you are just proves you do not possess those virtues. A man or woman who is truly selfless does it and does not even know they are doing it. Paul called himself chief amongst all sinners and probably had no inkling of the good he did. Go cry a river!
Pope JP II was an incredible man and an amazing Christian. Mother Theresa was as well. I will pray for your wife and you too.
As a critical type viewer, before I began watching the 700 Club sometimes i also tended to place Pat in the TBN tele-evangelism club, but if those conservatives who heap scorn on him would watch the show i think they would realize that he and his show speaks and does a lot of good, and has for the 50 years his show has been the primary show of its kind. The video testimonies are usually very good and overall honoring to God, and you can download lots of them, and increasingly documented, and the news is informative and conservative, and while Pat often should not be playing politician, he does honestly speak his mind, but he is much different than men like Phelps.
As for Haiti, it is true that evil and good happens to both in this life, yet God does judge countries, and the recent catastrophes have been mostly against counties which persecute Christians and others, (and N. Korea has its day coming), and it is claimed that Haiti was officially dedicated to Satan in 1791 and was rededicated to Satan during the two hundred year anniversary in 1991 by Aristide, (see http://www.christianaction.org.za/articles_ca/2004-2-Haiti_and_Satan.htm), yet America is ripe for such judgment, and as (Luke 13:1-3 states,

Maybe instead of trying to put a “God did it” reason for the destruction, it would be better served if he could volunteer some time at one of the Christian Missions in Haiti who could really need his help right now. But, don’t count on it.

What you say is very true and the 700 Club is one of the best ministries on TV I have ever seen. They walk the walk and have lead multitudes to Christ utilizing modern technology effectively.

The O.T. is superior, esp. when applied with N.T. aspects. There would not be 500,000 America dead because of AIDS, and at least 1 out of 4 young persons infected with an STD, and 1 out 3 incarcerated at some time in their lives, wit 1 out of 3 pregnancies ending in abortion, nor would there long term debt for the citizens, nor welfare, but workfare. Parents would be respected and family unit far more sacred and healthy, and far less crime. My only real complaint is that you can’t be politically advocating things like killing Chavez or Muslims and then tell them Jesus loves them. And the 700 clubs seeks to reach out to Muslims and different peoples with food and care.
I do hope some day to be able to share some of the wonderful video testimonies. I wrote to them to try to get permission to, but copyright issues only allow home sharing.

I know Pat has put his foot in his mouth sometimes and makes me cringe. But the Word says that love covers a multitude of sins and that is not in short supply from the 700 Club. But we also have to put the shoe on the other foot and take a realistic look at the Crusades and throughout history where godly Christian men have fought savage wars against oppression and tyranny to promote justice, freedom and righteousness. An very interesting subject as these men had to do things contrary to the faith to fight evil.

That is true and sometimes they don’t really do their homework and find out what was really said sometimes. There have been some bad things said by Pat which I am not going to defend and there have been quick rushes to judgment based upon distortions by the MSM who is no friend of conservative Christians and who will defame any hi-profile Christian when they get the chance.
