A spokesman for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is describing the video above, which shows a Weekly Standard reporter getting pushed around by a DSCC consultant, Michael Meehan, as a "dirty trick" by "Washington Republicans."
DSCC spokesman Eric Schultz refused to go into detail about the incident, or to criticize Meehan, who confronted reporter John McCormack, in McCormack's telling, after the reporter followed candidate Martha Coakley down the street asking unwelcome questions.

"It is no surprise that Washington Republicans are trying to use every dirty trick they have to throw the Coakley campaign off their stride, but we are determined to end this campaign talking about the issues that matter to voters, like creating jobs and lowering middle class taxes," said Schultz in a written statement.

Martha Coakley says she holds health insurers accountable, then one day later, takes money from the very same health insurance lobbyists at a Washington fundraiser.
I mean all she had to do was keep her head down and stay low.. Yes, she's fighting a national tide against the democratic party right now, but this is MA for God's sake, keep your head down and don't make any major mistakes, and what has she done?
Blown a debate horrifically, NO TERRORISTS IN AFGHANISTAN?? and then mocked her opponent for actually meeting with the people of the state while she's in DC taking lobbyist money and then trying to tag her opponent and the business as usual insider politician?
Wow... This woman, and her handlers incompetence rival Fauxbamas.
You want to talk issues? But all you do is meet with interest groups and party hacks? Be serious. This woman is coming across as inept, arrogant and irritable. She's 6 days from a special election she should cake walk through and has made nearly every political mistake you could make.

It’s hard to “spin” the photo of Coakley staring at the reporter on the ground as if he were a stray dog on the street.

exactly. Seems the Dems criticize the “right wing” or “Tea Party” people simply for speaking out or questioning
health care or other proposals by this Administration. The Dems seem to think that this President, Ms Pelosi, Mr Reid, et al, should be able to dictate to the American people and the people should, without question, follow them off the cliff.... Not happening!

DSCC are a buch of liars. With several videos and still photos out there it is clear to see that her staffer assaulted the reporter. Why was that...was it because she was coming out of a fund raiser that had many heathcare lobbiests who are desparate for her to save the awful heathcare reform?
