In her debut as a contributor to Fox News, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin admitted Tuesday that leading up to her 2008 vice presidential debate she thought Iraq may have been behind the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Interviewed by Fox Newss Bill OReilly on his show The OReilly Factor, Palin trashed many of the critical accounts of her candidacy in the new book Game Change. But one story from the book that Palin did not say was made up or a lie was the description of her uncertainty as to whether Iraq had a hand in the planning of the September 11 attacks.
I did talk a lot to [campaign strategist] Steve Schmidt about the history of the war and where the attackers could have come from, Palin said of her debate prep during the fall of 2008 more than five years after the start of the war in Iraq and seven years after the terrorist attacks that hit New York and Washington.
I do admit to asking questions about that, she said.

She most certainly did not. She said she asked about it, not that she thought Iraq was behind it. Doesn’t anyone at Politico actually watch the shows before doing a critique?
There they go again. Making things up. I watched the entire interview and she said no such thing.
YEARS AGO IT CAME OUT THAT IRAQ INDEED HARBORED TERRORIST TRAINING CAMPS. SARAH IS RIGHT AGAIN!! POLITICO TWISTED THE FACTS. HEY POLITICO, AS JOE WILSON WOULD SAY-——YOU LIE!!!
Wish I recorded her segment. I don't remember her saying anything like that also. These lying pric@s really fear her. O'Rielly is a real turd. She is on Beck tonight and I'm sure we will a better interview.
the far left and the media, well both the same are so twisted in their hate towards Sarah that they can’t even get this right.
The writer is telling us and those who watched her that he said this and yet there is video showing she never.
Now it just shows that the media will go to great lengths to make Sarah look stupid but they are the ones who are makg themselves look stupid.
It’s like when they reported only 200 for a tea party and yet the video’s show 20000 there.
They then wonder why they lose any respect they once had.
I hope Fox now gets up to this writer and asks him why he lied and why is he twsting the truth
Her first mistake was to ask Steve Schmidt anything. He was 9 or 10 years old when Reagan was elected, couldn’t pass math class and never graduated, worked for Bill Bradley’s campaign, and seems to be a 40 year old never married guy REALLY interested in gay rights and gay marriage.
He is another aide who thinks HE should really be running it all, yet,,,never runs for election himself.
Sarah is way out of his league.
She did not say that! I watched the show last night. She said that she had asked if there was a possibility that Saddam was invloved with 9/11.
its a lie. I watched the interview and it it was the exact oppposite
PolitiHo lies.
What time slot is it she will appear on, with Beck? Radio? or TV?
Here he is on a few times a day. The only TV show I know of being broadcast is 5:00 New york time, 4:00 Texas time, etc.
Help! I do not want to miss her with Beck.
Thanks.
Maybe it is time we posted them again just to see how the RATS react.
I have friends overseas who might be able to do the job on an off-shore server.
Steve Schmidt is a RHINO. He has served on Bill Bradley’s campaign, and other democrats (McCain, et.al.)
well its all over youtube. Just rewatch it and its pretty clear she said nothing of this sort. The article is a lie
The Left figured out long ago that most people only read headlines, so getting the message they want into news headlines is vital. The rest of the story, and the truth, don’t matter.
Total Politico Dirtbag Distortion.
She was completely open about having a conversation on the topic but never implied that she reached that conclusion. And, as another Freeper mentioned BOR didn’t allow her to finish her comment.
“Steve Schmidt is a RHINO.”
He’s big on the whole “log cabin” thing,,,It’s his main issue.
“In her debut as a contributor to Fox News, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin admitted Tuesday that leading up to her 2008 vice presidential debate she thought Iraq may have been behind the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.”
I was a high school drop out, grunt in the Army and I never thought that. Where she would have got that idea is beyond me.
Politico lies!
