It is pretty clear that we have a big problem in Michael Steele. He just doesn't seem to be able to find a clear way. Long gone is the Michael Steele I respected and cheered. I don't know where he went but it is pretty clear he is hurting not helping when clarity not ambiguity is an asset. This should be a time of GOP assendency. We need a chairiman or chairwoman who can inspire. Steele should either stop going on liberal shows saying stupid things or he should quit. I'd prefer someone like Thompson, someone who is measured and doesn't come across like a scared rabbit. Steele, who I think is a nice guy, I believe has lost his way.
He can recover his way by doing a better job of not opening his mouth but leveraging high profile indiviudals like Sarah Palin and really reaching out and working with Tea Party activists rather than talking down or making pretend outreach. Michael Steele needs to get real or get out of dodge.

Chairwoman? Palin?
I think she’d be good there. Steele is over his head, and should be moved.

I definitely believe he means well, but half of what he’s done seems misguided.

Fortunately, I’m not a republicrat. So, I don’t have to do ANYTHING the leader of the republicrats tells me to do.

Steele only attacks and insults Republicans. Steele says we’re going to lose in 2010. No, we’re going to win in 2010. Maybe Steele’s going to lose in 2010.

Well this certainly is going to help things!
Republicans - always laboring to shackle themselves to defeat from the jaws of victory.
Honestly, for this public outburst Steele needs to be fired post haste. Almost like painting by numbers this guy is screwing everything up possible. Could he possibly be doing any more damage?
