Yeah, I know, nothing new for Tingles. But Brooks is taking a beating in the other tea-party thread so I thought I’d give him a break by reminding you that accusing tea partiers of having issues with the “educated class” is actually pretty mild compared to the usual insinuations.

Also, in fairness, employees of MSNBC are probably contractually obligated to call them “teabaggers.”

I’m giving you two clips, actually. The second is short, but an essential — and timely — gloss on the first.

Update: Remember, MSNBC’s been known to edit video in order to obscure unhelpful facts that contradict its racial narratives, so maybe Matthews is innocent here. Maybe his problem is simply that he’s getting his info from … MSNBC.

Michael Steele, RNC Chair, was interviewed on Sean Hannity's radio show today. Hannity mentioned Matthews' remark about the racial composition of the "teabaggers" (which in itself is a derogatory term) to Steele - who of course is black. Steele, who might have been expected to go ballistic over a remark like that, answered tepidly, "That's not true. I met with someone today who is black." Then Hannity mentioned the black Tea Party participant who was assaulted in Missouri a few months ago by SEIU thugs. All Steele said was that he knows about that.

If only Steele could show as much energy in his RNC chair job as he showed in his "Drill, Baby, Drill!" speech at the 2008 GOP Convention!

BTW, Steele just came out with a new book that he wrote and is now making the rounds of "conservative" talk shows promoting it.
