It might have been Marrxist, but it still claimed to be Christian. In Acts 4:32-35, the Apostles lifestyle is described as communal (without individual possession), and uses the phrase “distribution was made unto every man according as he had need”[6]:
“ 32. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35. And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.”

Apparently the Apostles had a bit of the communalist in them.

At that time Christianity was a small sect brutally persecuted by Judaism and Roman pagans. It was necessary for its members to pull together in an extreme way. (I believe that today’s Christians should share with their persecuted brethren also.) Also, early Christians seemed to believe that the return of Christ was imminent.

HUGE DIFFERENCE between Marxism at the point of a gun and voluntary sharing of resources through the leading of the Holy Spirit.

If this were about Obama’s ‘apostles’ it would read like this:

In Axe 4:32-35, the Apostles’ lifestyle is described as communal (without individual possession), and uses the phrase “distribution was made unto every man according as he had need to persuade him to vote against the needs of others ”[6] :

“ 32. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own for to say such would be a show of their racism and greed ; but they had to surrender all things common or else be imprisoned or fined.

33. And with great power gave the ACORN apostles witness of the re-election of the Lord Obama: and great grace was upon them all.

34. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses were forced to hand them over through eminent domain, and the pittance they were given for them they were required to report on their income taxes as sold,

35. And this was laid down at the ACORN apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as to how much he had supported the Democrat Party.”

Apparently the Apostles had a bit of the communalist in them.

It's worth pointing out here these verses in Acts can in no way justify a Communist philosophy. The Apostles did not use the state to take possessions by force, nor they did they attempt to force others to engage in their communalism. The fellowship was voluntary, as such associations should be.

Voluntary sharing is not communism.
