HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.
Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.
He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.

I learned about this on a thread about TT coach Leach ... several people were wondering what Rush would have to say about it on Monday ... and then I got this news.
I’m shocked, worried and ... well, really worried. I pray for Rush every day because he means so much to me and the country.
Hopefully this will be something (if it is a heart attack) that can be helped my a stent. That’s what they did when my husband had a heart attack and he was fine.

The AP and MSNBC are already talking about Limbaugh’s addiction problem, at some length. The story they’re running features at least four full paragraphs about his drug travails. They are shameless cretins. What does that have to do with this story?

Same here. I picked up a trunk and dislocated two ribs but being a dedicated nurse, got myself to work the next morning, pretty darn sure it wasn’t an MI since I lived through the night, but still you worry.
One of the Doc’s I worked with was a D.O. Anesthesiologist who did some manipulation thing on me, for which I am eternally grateful. I was never much for chiropractic stuff before that but I wouldn’t shun it now.
Hope that Rush is okay and nothing more than a minor problem occured.
I do wonder why BO, Pelosi and Rush are all in the same area. I wouldn’t want to spoil my vacation with anything that reminded me of work.
This freaks me out! Just listening to Rush the other day and thinking his insights and explanations are so insightful, THANK GOD we have that voice out there....then started thinking about what would happen if something happened to him...and got very scared. I envisioned this type of scenario!
Praying for Rush, that God would heal him, watch over him, and give the doctors wisdom concerning his care. Please bring him back to the EIB mic healthy and ready to fight!

Ditto...it can mimic it big time...the pain between shoulders into the arm...those stones can mimic everything under the sun. Prayers up for Rush tonight and every night. He is our armor and sword.

I also had chest pains that I was sure was a heart attack. It wound up being a pulled ligament in my back between my shoulder blades. I felt exactly like chest pains. I was admitted to Emergency and declared “serious” for half the day. After a Laperostopy, my arteries were declared spotless and heart and valves in excellent condition for a 30 year old. I’m 59.
So, let’s all take a deep breath and calm down. The delays are in our best interest. It must mean that things are not deeply serious.

I remember the moment that my radio first landed on Rush by accident, but not the date. I just know it was before Dan’s bake sale.
Living out in the country, east of Memphis, AM reception was very bad, and my radio stayed on FM (PUBIC radio), mostly for music, but I remember some Saturday talk shows where they made snide remarks about some Rush Limbaugh.
I became an instant devote, and often had to set up a recorder if I was going to be away from a radio. I am now a Rush 24/7 subscriber, listening to Mark Belling as I type this from my cottage on Cebu Island.
Do you by any chance know if his brother is in Hawaii with him? Where is the website that he writes most often for?? Perhaps THAT would be the place to get RELIABLE FACTUAL UPDATES?
Could the hospital be waiting for someone from Rush's family to arrive before speaking to the media?

I went back and read the FReeper’s comment. It was completely innocent, and you were way out of line. Frankly, I was shocked at your overreaction.
Rush is a voice of truth. Our armor and sword are God alone. I pray with all my heart that Rush will be okay, but if the worst were to happen we are not defenseless.
