Two of the four leaders allegedly behind the al Qaeda plot to blow up a Northwest Airlines passenger jet over Detroit were released by the U.S. from the Guantanamo prison in November, 2007, ABC News is reporting, quoting American officials and citing Department of Defense documents.

BJClinton provided the path for all that followed. The blue dress must have been a real mess.
Yeah? Well, he kept your sorry, bitching ass safe for eight years! No?

Are you truly nutz or do you just like to portray one?

That’s a tough question - anything is possible I suppose!
You’re welcome to go through my posts and make a diagnosis if you like.
You could be more specific so I better understand what’s got your goat?
I’ll start with this....who should get the fallout for the fact that a crazed jihadist was entrenched in our military - counseling our soldiers, all while desiring to kill them.
Red flags were deliberately ignored in the cause of political correctness 8 years after 9/11.
...and you are not only assuming, but making the argument that George W, himself, personally knew of/had met this crazed jihadist. That is beyond the pale to blame him for that...the man, was that, a MAN, not omnipresent! Jeez!
I think you made a typ-o there. I fixed it for ya! :)
If we’re talking about the larger issue of mohammedans in the military, tell me what Bush might have done that would have reduced the risk posed by the likes of Hasan. Keep in mind, we were embarking on two campaigns against terror states and the war plan called for the cooperation of mohammedan opposition to those respective governments.
Just give me an example of something that should have been done. Something that Bush failed to do that might have prevented Hasan’s rampage.
This sounds like something the ballerina would make up.
I’ll wait for the facts.
:’) Thanks Ernest.
Bush should have killed all the Gitmo inmates before Obama took office, but he ‘couldn’t do that’.
More evidence that the entire administration is out of its league and the positions they hold are more than they can handle.
History? You think the lessons from 15 years ago are irrelevant and you want to talk about history? I'm still waiting for you to explain how this continuing war with the mohammedans is directly related to Bush's relationship with Saudi Royals. Is it your position that we should have invaded Saudi Arabia? Stopped buying 20% of our oil from them while leftists used our institutions to block new drilling here? What exactly did or didn't he do with regards to Saudi Arabia and how exactly is it the cause of al Qaeda launching new operations out of Yemen? Go ahead, dazzle us with the facts.
we now have to simultaneously contend with two diabolical enemies, Islam and Communism.
It was so much nicer when we just ignored them, wasn't it.
Freepers were joking about this very thing last year and now it came true.
you are putting words in my mouth I never said.
I asked you a question - who should get the fallout?
Doesn't pass the smell test...
Islmics and islamic jihadi radicals in particular go around destroying art works.
I guess that's why 0bambi had all the historic paintings removed from the White House and replaced with modernist trash.
“If were talking about the larger issue of mohammedans in the military,”
I am not.
I am talking more specifically about the culture of political correctness that allowe those surrounding Hasan to be “more” afraid of the accusation of racism, than being afraid of the danger of having him within the military.
” Keep in mind, we were embarking on two campaigns against terror states and the war plan called for the cooperation of mohammedan opposition to those respective governments.”
That is true - so there is that line you walk. You want to recognize the universal battle for freedom among “all” peoples, while you simultaneously are at war with islamofascism.
And so - how do you decipher who is an islamofascist?
Clearly - Hasan made his stance very clear to those around him.
“Just give me an example of something that should have been done. Something that Bush failed to do that might have prevented Hasans rampage.”
Chances are very high Bush never heard of the man.
I am wondering where the culture of PC came from - that Hasan’s peers and superiors were “more” afraid of violating PC rules than they were of the obvious danger he posed.
So - 8 years after 9/11, we couldn’t connect the dots within our own military?
Really?
Why?
The only way they should EVER “free” someone from Gitmo should be by allowing them to take a dirt nap.
