CAIR: Don't racial profile after airline incidents December 27, 2009 23:04 EST
SNIPPET: "WASHINGTON (AP) -- A Muslim advocacy group is urging passengers, crews and security personnel to avoid ethnic and religious "profiling" in the wake of the attempted bombing of a Northwest Airlines flight in Detroit on Christmas Day.
In a statement, Ibrahim Hooper of the Washington, D.C.-based Council on American-Islamic Relations says, "While everyone supports robust airline security measures, racial and religious profiling are in fact counterproductive and can lead to a climate of insecurity and fear.""

A CAIR statement to that effect, in the wake of Friday’s airline incident at Detroit Metro, is as predictable as night following day!

“Don't racial profile” CAIR says
Well, they aren't that I could tell from watching ABC tonight. They showed a white woman in her 30’s and a white grandmother in her 80’s(?) being wanded. The grandmother had her hands on a wall in the typical “spread them” position. GRRRRR—— They didn't show any young, Middle Eastern men being wanded or patted down.

Since you are Irish I take it you know how lutefisk came to be.
In the event you don’t...it was inaugurated by St. Patrick trying to drive the Vikes out of Ireland.
He had lye thrown into the stores of fish the Vikings had built up, thinking it would starve them out. Instead it became the national dish of Norway.
Short Version.

I hate to be crass...but humans don't "profile", they look, see, and learn repeated characteristics of certain types and groups, and as a result apply common sense to the safest behavior concerning them.
With all of the well-documented crimes against Americans and others, by muslims, it is as natural as blinking to at least draw suspect on these people.
While it may be unfortunate to some of the more "civilized muslims", I haven't met any, or know of any personally, so I don't even entertain that line of thinking.
CAIR is - to me - just another organized apology group with a fancy acronym for a name so that news outlets will print and air every "news release" they put out to try and guilt trip us all into giving them a pass on whatever the hell they want to do. ACORN is another.
These ACRO-nymphomaniacs are a shining example of what "group-think" will get you; a direct liberal spin-off of unions, promoting mediocrity and invountary SAME-i-tude to all who venture into their clutches. Their promise of "change" is just about as effective as the promised made by obama...non-existent.
A tuna knows to skedaddle when a shark swims near, a cat is on guard around a rottweiler, and a bluebird takes off when a hawk is near. Using the average "racebaiters" definition, all these things are "PROFILING" too.
Who knows, it might be "Casper the Friendly Shark", or "Ralph, the cowardly Rottweiler", and that hawk might have only one wing...but they've all had "kindred spirits" who attack without provacation, and kill at every opportunity. It is just as natural for the rest of us to assume danger and prepare to fight back as it is any other species. It's called the "fight or flight" reaction.
My final question to "CAIR", what "news releases" are you putting out to your muslim buddies? Are you telling them to STOP PROFILING CHRISTIANS? Nah, I didn't think so.
Maybe you're asking them to live up to the claim that islam is the "religion of peace"...however, you say that to the millions of people who have been negatively affected by the violence and mayhem of muslims, and you might get laughed at right in your face. Based on the behavior of your "brethren", I be more likely to call islam a "cult" than a religion, and our Constitution does not guarantee "Freedom of Cultism"....sorry, you'll have to talk to your brethren obama to get that changed.
So CAIR, I really don't CARE what you think about our "profiling", but America is finally awakening from it's National guilt trip and that stuff really is falling on deaf ears.
We're all really, really, really, getting tired of your same ol' song and dance, and my personal profile of CAIR is you're a bunch of muzzie apologists and just as much of a danger to America as any of the other terrorists. You're not a religion, you're a fanatic cult.

Sorry, CAIR! I am already doing that, and will continue to profile, as long as your kind wants to kill Americans.

OPINION:
I agree profiling/targeting is a good and wise idea. There are a number of criteria that should be used AND political correctness must be left out of the equation.
All I’m saying is when it comes to the general (not detailed searches); please search everyone.

That’s not profiling; that’s a more than reasonable response/reaction to a terrorist act.
If you’ve ever been a victim of a personal crime(s); then you know you know that in many cases you only have a very brief window of opportunity to act/react to save yourself.

We already HAVE a climate of insecurity and fear. Everyone but terrorists is afraid some Muslim freakazoid might be on their plane, planning to blow it to smithereens.
Profiling Muslims of ALL ethnicities would make sense, since pretty much all terrorists in the skies are Muslim. If Muslims don’t like that this makes it harder for them to fly, they need to be more forceful against the terrorists in their midst.
Profiling beats dying.

No damnit..they have earned racial profiling. Maybe once the other “good” muzzies get sick and tired of being treated like criminals, as we do now in how we are treated and even maltreated going through security, maybe they will finally step up and start taking action against those radicals in their own communities.
Iam so sick of this PC crap extended to” minorities”. Frankly at this point I would support deporting all these people (or animals as the case might warrant) back to their respective sandpiles..all nations should do this en masse.

I was sort of joking. I apologize for not being clear.
And yes I agree about the brief window of opportunity, and I have had to make use of it in personal experiences.

Unfortunately, political correctness has attempted to crush common sense.
My personal opinion is that common sense MAY be making a comeback.
I hope and pray this is true.

WRONG , it’s common sense police work.
We need to tell DC in no uncertain terms we want to ban flights and passengers from certain countries from entering the USA , period. That’s common sense in action.
