SNIPPET: "WASHINGTON (AP) -- A Muslim advocacy group is urging passengers, crews and security personnel to avoid ethnic and religious "profiling" in the wake of the attempted bombing of a Northwest Airlines flight in Detroit on Christmas Day.
In a statement, Ibrahim Hooper of the Washington, D.C.-based Council on American-Islamic Relations says, "While everyone supports robust airline security measures, racial and religious profiling are in fact counterproductive and can lead to a climate of insecurity and fear.""

Maybe, maybe not, but profiling is only using common sense as in "what's attributes the perps have in common ?"
Detailed profiling and some random checks would be more effective than the nonsense we go through now.
Not sure if I've ever seen bomb/drug sniffing dogs in departure areas, only in arrival & baggage areas.
If CAIR says we shouldn’t racial profile then we need to do the opposite.

I am not sure about the TSA, but they talk and interview people they deem “questionable”, talking with a person gives you lots of hints, because you can watch body language.
