China and America to blame for Copenhagen failure, says Brown Gordon Brown has blamed China and America’s lack of “ambition” for the failure of the Copenhagen climate change summit.

By Andrew Porter, Political Editor Published: 8:00PM GMT 21 Dec 2009

The Prime Minister also rounded on the “flawed” and “chaotic” summit process and demanded that it be overhauled.

And Mr Brown, who is angry at the failure of the talks, warned that never again could “a handful of nations” hold the rest “to ransom.”

Mr Brown invested a large amount of time in the process, but yesterday was forced to admit that the results were far from what had been hoped for after years of lobbying. He said the European Union was prepared to go to cut emissions by 30 per cent, but other needed to follow.

He said: “What we need is not just one part of the world going to higher ranges of ambitions, we need the other parts of the world as well," Mr Brown said.

“If America and China were able to show that they were doing more, and I believe that they could, then all countries - Australia, Brazil, Japan, Korea - all these countries that have got ranges would be prepared to go to their highest level of ambition.”

“America’s lack of “ambition” for the failure of the Copenhagen climate change summit.”

Hehehehehe. Not what Obama and his pals in the press say. I just wish the healthcare bill had failed to pass.

You’re a fool Brown. If you want to commit economic suicide for the sake of junk science don’t expect others to take the plunge with you.

At least Obama's 'smart diplomacy' is working. It used to be that blaming America was world sport under the Bush Administration...now the One has managed to eliminate the one hold-out, the U.K. We're now universally condemned for one reason or another.

I guess Britain does not have a meaningful agreement on climate change. A meaningful agreement would do more to cripple their economy.

“A senior Obama administration official says the US, China, India, Brazil and South Africa have reached a “meaningful agreement” on climate change.”

Gordon Brown and his Labor Party will probably be voted out of office next year. Brits are fed up with the Green Marxist agenda of higher taxes, fees and a lower standard of living.

Obegger cannot get anything from any foreign nation, except more condemnation for the U.S.A. Nobody respects a leader who grovels like an abused dog.

Then that’s a failure I’m very proud of. If it gives you any consolation, sir, you have my permission to go club a baby seal. And eat it.

I wish the United States could take credit for Hopenchangin’s failure - but it sounds like President Present just went along for the ride, and it was China and Russia who did the heavy lifting...

It doesn’t matter that it’s all a lie. The only thing that matters is breaking America. I think the rest of the world can just F Off.
