Declaring that she was honored and proud to run with him, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin pushed back hard Wednesday against a report that she had disrespected Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) by blacking out his name on a sun visor she wore on vacation.
The website TMZ accused Palin of a frontal attack on Sen. John McCain during a Hawaii vacation this week: Sarah chose to wear a visor from her campaign -- a visor that was emblazoned with the former presidential candidate's name ... that is, until Palin redacted McCain's name with a black marker.
But Palin said in a statement to POLITICO that she was just trying to be incognito -- to go unrecognized and shield her children and husband, Todd, from paparazzi.
The hotel where she was staying had to chase away five photographers, a friend said.
Palin said in the statement to POLITICO: I am so sorry if people took this silly incident the wrong way. I adore John McCain, support him 100 percent and will do everything I can to support his reelection. As everyone knows, I was honored and proud to run with him. And Todd and I were with him in D.C. just a week ago. So much for trying to be incognito."
The Palins were taking a break from a three-and-a-half-week book tour for her million-copy-selling memoir, Going Rogue: An American Life. Palin has signed more than 59,000 books -- an average of 1,750 per stop -- and has traveled more than 19,000 miles by plane and bus. She has spent 115 hours -- or 4.8 days -- signing books in 33 cities in 25 states. Her stops have included five military bases.

He was a 'jock,' not captain of the debating team.
I’m trying to find the other audio. I wish I could remember the name of the guy. It was someone from Oregon, the media made a big deal out of it because she also mentioned that Obama’s birth certificate was fair game
The last Republican to actually reduce the Federal debt was Calvin Coolidge.
Aside from Reagan, who at least has an excuse in that he faced a Congress with a House controlled by Democrats and a Senate that was a toss-up, Coolidge was the last genuinely conservative president with an R following his name.
Anyone who wants to question my analysis here can go look straight in the horse's mouth for the figures.
It is always the kids who have not faced the real world
who rut themselves with these cult people such as Ron Paul and the other anti war, 9/11 Truther types

There it is..Someone already posted it but here it is
Then she should have no problem repudiating her earlier statements, if she doesn't actually believe in them.
Yet she hasn't.
“Oh please..I support her but I dont worship the ground she walks on. That is for Obama supporters. If DeMint ran in 2012 I would work my hardest to get him elected too”
Good girl! You are not a worshipper, but I knew that. There are plenty around here though ;-)
Whateven you have as proof re Sarah Palin does not make any difference with the anti war Paulites.
They use these side door arguments because their real hate,
are any person who supports the war against the enemy who attacked America.
Yep. That seems to be the case.
(((PING)))
"Little mishap"?
Coddling a RINO like McCain while knowing of his fondness for aiding and abetting liberal causes is not a "little mishap."
You can read my three reasons at post 104.
No, I don’t worship anyone, but I do support her, and I don’t understand why you hate her so much. Not agreeing with her I get, but you sound like you really hate the woman, what gives?
And yes, if DeMint ran in 2012 I would vote for him. I won’t lie, if Sarah ran I’d vote for her, but if she chose not to run, and DeMint ran, I’d vote for him. I like him, the more I see him the more I like him. He does great work
Ah yes, break out the ad hominem attack.
Pathetic.
She ran as his VP candidate, so I guess in your mind she is already tainted since she ran with him. So nothing else to be said then
I don’t think there’s any reason to go at each others throats at this time. Most of us like Sarah Palin. That support isn’t blind and it never well be. And that is as it should be.
Sarah’s comments or illegals hadn’t passed under my radar. I’ve addressed it directly and I’ve tried to suggest she needs to grow, so as to not be too confrontational.
If Sarah backs McCain or a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants, I don’t believe I’ll be able to vote for her.
I like her very much and would love to see her grow to be one hell of a presidential candidate, but I cannot stop her from self-destructing.
Folks, I’m not going to sit still and “take it” while anyone hands our nation over to foreign nationals on a silver platter. Not Sarah. Not anyone!
As for supporting McCain, I’ve got one word for folks. “Soros” Don’t do it Sarah.
Palin expands her position on Illegal Immigration
Palin: we need to close the borders. They are called illegal aliens for a reason and if they are not going to follow the rules they should not be in our country.
Its pretty simple I ratched that one down to the simple answer because its an easier answer than some politicians want it to make it be. you close the borders. You get more agressive about cracking down on the illegal aliens and we take it serious what our border patrol officers are trying to do

She just reiterated the position of the overwhelming majority in the US. Again, she stands for what the common people stand for on almost every issue.
You guess too much.
Running as his VP in and of itself is insufficient to taint her.
Running as his VP and then, afterwards, basically endorsing him in his Senate primary, knowing that he's a RINO...that's just plain wrong.

Ok so she supports McCain..I’ll get the noose and you find the largest tree..geez its like some people here want her hanged for supporting him..Supporting him, I doubt she will campaign for him. sSe will always be loyal to McCain. I don’t know why that is such a surprise to people, read her book, she hasn’t said one bad thing about McCain. Look, do I support McCain, of course not. I hope he loses in 2010 and loses badly, but I am not going to fault her for supporting him. I don’t think its support, its more like loyalty. If she never ran with him I doubt she would support him in 2010, but since she ran with him she feels this weird loyalty to him.
