I was talking with a young college grad nitwit about this the other day and he responded with "yeah but there hasn't been a REAL socialist country yet.." - sigh -
I almost have to laugh, but it's ineffably sad to see what happens to people possessed by Utopian fantasies. Just remember (and feel free to tell those who need to know): To the Left: Capitalism will always be judged by its worst examples; Socialism is only judged by its promises. Capitalism is held to a standard of perfection; Socialism fails only because people have not yet been perfected.
When people come to accept that human beings are not perfectible and that the purpose of government is to ensure liberty, not obedience are they able to truly live and let live.
